Reminds me of the case of the Evo. All the resources went into drivetrain, motor, exterior, and not too much inside. Just Recaro seats and a few minor differences. Other than that it's a base Lancer on the inside. Same with the Raptor and the F150 regarding interior. It's a little nicer, but it's the same inside

Well if you option it up it is just like a loaded f150 which is a nice interior.

Definitely not going to be close to base interior even with the cloth and 800a it'll be a bit different.

Aston Martin is going to make an SUV....maybe more suited for you.....

I just traded in an Aston Martin Vantage S for my Magnetic Raptor. Fully loaded SupaCrew with 8o2a Package, carbon package,Beadlocks, twin panel stargaze/look at the skyscrapers option. The only option I do not have are the decals.Just bought a lock VFL3Z-18168-B for the tailgate pivot hinge,50 Cal Antenna,Real Carbon fiber overlay letters for front grill,AFE Power 54-12882-H Cold air intake(pre-order).Front windows and 8" down on windshield both done in Ceramic 20%, but will have to be redone because after they were done realized that the factory windows are a bronze/copper and not smoked tint.Looking for window visors... accidentally ordered OEM outside mount and have to return. Ordered a set of Wade in-channels and they suck, they cause window to roll back down or make a clunking sound which eventually will scratch window if I had left them on.Removed and looking for a better window visor....Any suggestions on a brand of visor that installs as if it were actually intended for a 2017 Raptor? To sum things up.......as previously stated you can't compare an Ford F150s quality to Aston Martin quality, Astons are hand built and have a reputation for their "Power,Beauty,Soul".I made the change for all year drivability, performance and technology. The interior of a vehicle can always be redone for quality and comfort if one has the money to do so. Upgraded interior is a piece of cake, technology upgrades on the other hand.....good luck. The Technology Package on the Raptor is Awesome, they hit the mark on everything all the way down from 360 degree/seems like you have your own personal satellite hovering over your car to backing up to hitch up a pair of Jetskis. good thing is I don't have to worry about driving in the rain, snow or potholes as I'm passing through NYC. Loving my Raptor with no regrets of trading in the Aston for the Magnetic Beast.

Agreed. It's a legitimate question, especially for a vehicle this expensive.

$50k base is not expensive..my Raptor topped out at $69,850 prior to taxes, title and registration. The base even comes with leather. Extra money is spent upgrading technology not the finest leather or billet aluminum knobs for quality.

My other car is a Bronco so I guess I should just suck it up. Still at over $80,000 one would expect some level of refinement, perhaps.

Only a fool would pay over $80k for a Ford Raptor and spend $3500 on decals. My Raptor topped out at a little under $70k.

I agree completely - you are buying $80k worth of newly engineered chassis, engine and suspension upgrades - the cab is the usual F150/F250 cab.
Drives me crazy - but i also have a Polaris RZR XP 1000 - now THAT is a piece of crap. All plastic and junk for $22k and a 6 month warranty!

All of that "newly engineered chassis, engine and suspension upgrades" can be aquired for $50k not $80K.

I love the interior on this truck. If i wanted something more plush I'd get something else.
100% agree. I did have to change out the License plate halogens though for plug and plat Recon units though. this must have been some sort of joke from Ford. these are the only non-led's besides the vanity mirror lights on the truck. set me back $115 for the upgrade. got my Raptor with 20 miles on it and this Saturday will be 2 weeks having the Beast. Making a little progress with small upgrades so far.

Cost has to do with many factors, not just luxury and refinement.

This costs ~$100k. How much luxury and refinement do you think it has?

Your $80k gets you a lot of things that an $80k luxury car doesn't have/do.

If all you want is luxury and refinement, A Raptor isn't what you're looking for.

I agree with you as well..Traded in an Aston Martin with less technology than the Raptor has. It was pushing barely over 400hp and the Raptor out does it on the technological side.

Trigger warning alert.
Instead of suggesting a Bentley or a choo choo train. Why don't some of you monogloids give comparison fit and finish qualities of other pick ups. Lets face it the chances of even some of you guys having real world experience in a Bentley or a locomotive is when you were 7 years old under the Christmas tree and it was 1/50 scale.
Interior quality comparison of Silverado, Denali, Titan, Tundra, Ram. That would be helpful.

Exactly... I paid $130k for an Aston Martin which after 2 years had the dash leather start to shrink on me.

My neighbors new Denali doesn't have LED plate lights either.

Or vents in the back, or backseat room, or a 360 camera, or blis ;)

Or a long list of other things. Denalis are boring. I think they look great from the outside, but the interior and underlying technology are just dated and blah.

While at a local Ford dealer yesterday I had a chance to sit in a Red 2017 Raptor, while in the cab showing my wife how sweet this truck is I opened the flap to show her that it has an outlet that she can plug a house hold appliance into, like hair dryer and etc. Thing is when I pressed on the plastic plate around the outlet it gave away, bending inward as if a screw behind the plate must be missing. Nothing major but really on such an expensive truck, it makes me wonder what else i could find if i really started to dig around. Anyone found anything loose in your new Raptor interior, so I know what to look for.

After reading all the posts on this thread and looking at the original post, has anyone considered that it may have been broken while sitting at the dealership?

There's a lot of things that can happen to a vehicle's fit and finish while sitting on the showroom floor.* Customers get in and out of them constantly. Some little ****** could have put his **** beaters on it and broke it while his parents were looking at a Fiesta. Hell, a salesman could have banged the receptionist in there during after hours and they could have somehow broken the plastic plate while attempting the wheelbarrow position.**

Just throwing this out there as a possible explanation of a very small and possibly isolated issue. If more posts come back with a broken outlet cover then maybe there's an issue at the plant and then there should be a concern.

Enjoy your trucks when you get them and pass the Grey Poupon, s'il vous plaît.

*I do not work for dealer or FMC.
**Never attempt this inside the vehicle.
