Thanks for posting up the info on the knobs. Its the first iv heard of it in my research on icons. I just bought a set couple weeks ago so ill be looking into something to keep the knobs from seizing up. I'm also waiting on and order of vht adhesion promoter and clear engine Enamel to arrive so I can coat them and cross my fingers it protects them from the salt and shit doesn't destroy them like it did my stockers.

Yes. And we all know that more guinea pigs are needed to build data for this study. Knob condoms anyone?

OP should contact the guy at ICON and offer to do harsh winter climate testing in exchange for free shocks. After all, the earlier guineas here apparenty got them free or very heavily discounted in exchange for their testimonials. While you're asking - I bet some amazing deals are occurring for bumpstop install threads too lol. :pepper:

I love my ICONs, but my clickers froze up as well after just one Michigan winter. I can get them going with lube and a wrench. I called Icon and they wanted me to pull the set screw. They of course are corroded also. I will be lubing them up this fall before winter comes packing them in grease like they do here at the salt plant. As far as people complaining about their stock shocks corroding, My stockers lasted a lot longer than the ICONs did before starting to corrode. I'm not complaining, but rust happens.

Call Icon maybe they should...this is a good point...how issues come out on forums and potential solutions are found.

If Greg had not said something...I would venture to say folks would be worse of with less tangible knowledge...

I agree, ICON is aware of issue since TRR when Kankary knobs were frozen.. Since i have been on my fairytail road trips and in ev la la land. I have not followed up to see if it has been resolved..
