Any of the aftermarket upper control arms are an improvement over stock...

What kind of an improvement though ?

I realize they're tougher, but I've never broke one or heard of anyone who has.
There is more theoretical travel before bind with the aftermarket ones, but do we actually require that before the shock limits travel ?

Birdman's reason, for widening the stance back out makes sense.

The main reason is adjustability..
Being able to properly align front end. Specifically with the Icons the enclosed upper bearing keeps road grime and junk out of the bearing.. Keeping from moaning and groaning of other UCA with exposed bearing. Granted you can lube them with teflon lube to quiet them..

The larger bearing allows for better control and road feel over stock design.. It is difficult to explain, more precise turning..

tie rods make more of a difference

I haven't really seen anyone bend their stock UCAs to be honest

Tie rods make a huge difference.. Upper control arms allow more precise handling because there is not the slow of ball joint.

Drive it until it breaks then replace it...I too have not heard of any real issues with the UCAs....

Now the tie-rods I agree...is time or can I feel them even flex at times? Shit I have seen posts where they just say **** it and snap! I am glad I got me new rods coming this way.

If you spent money on shocks get the uca's.

Your dealing with a bearing instead of a bushing. Everything moves easier and smoother
