Ford investors take one in the nuts today

Those numbers aren't surprising. My wife's Ford has been in the shop close to 7 months out of the past 9, under powertrain warranty for transmission failures. Had it back for month or so and had another failure. Ford refuses to change the transmission, but rather wants to band aid it to get us out the door. It's going to be our last Ford for the foreseeable future after buying mostly Fords for the past 30 years. We've had multiple cases opened up, written letters, got the regional rep involved... abysmal customer service.

Absolutely! It's sad, but we just can't give them any more of our money. Car is still in the shop, but maybe have it back by the end of this week. We were really wanting to keep it long term, but it's such a gamble now with the constant transmission issues. Just not sure which vehicle to replace it with that's in our budget. Not much out there for around $50k with the same put a smile on your face driving experience. Sure is an impressive little suv for what it is... other than the issues of course.

Outside my lane here, but wouldn't a fluid analysis and teardown show that you'd done that?
