That's pretty neat!

I discovered this issue back when rotating tires on my '13 Mustang GT. They have the same lug nuts; it's just about impossible to get them off after a short drive when they get hot.

I replaced my lug nuts because I had the swelling issue also. The only true solution are ACER Racing titanium lug nuts. They use aerospace grade titanium so swelling, rust or corrosion are never going to be an issue. Plus they look amazing and are 50% lighter than the OEM stuff. Here is a link and a photo of the Gen 2 version I got but they also make them for Gen 1 and Gen 3 (which is the same as Gen 2):

Switched to Gorilla 61148CX lugs last summer, no complaints.
