I'm amazed at the number of people that say he should just take it and fix it himself. Really? If you order a steak at a restaurant and its isn't cooked right, do you just eat it or do you send it back? You send it back. And that's a damn steak. We're talking about a $70k truck. It should be right when you get it or it should be made right at no cost as quickly as possible.

I agree, But, ever time I talked to the dealer I would video it and let them know I was, and post it ever where, the last thing they want is bad press, you being one costumer, they could care less, but if you post it and file a complaint with Ford, and also post that, things will happen, because then you have turned the tables on the dealer and His bottom line! Take a video of your 70000$ truck on there lot and there name in the back ground with a flat tire and post it. Its sad that they are willing to start a war on the web, once everyone sees your post and how the dealer treats a "High End" costumer, they will start thinking about how they treat the everyday person, doing this and there tech guy seeing it will get you a tire quick and a lot of A$$ kissing also. That's how I would handle it, if they want a war give them what they want, It's there loss not yours! And I would also like to say Thank You for protecting our way of Life and Our Flag! Amen!

He won't be able to do it. It won't pass PDI because of the tire obviously. They can't sell a vehicle like that.

With the flat noted on the Purchase Documentation as an outstanding issue you can still purchase the vehicle run with the spare and have them take care of it later. I have done that with vehicles missing the second key and other issues needing to be resolved that were known during the sale but to be addressed after the sale. One dealer tried to screw me after the fact on issues so now I make sure its in writing on the sales sheet

I agree. @KRod What dealership is this? I think we'd all like to let them know how we feel about treating any customer this way, much less one that has served our country.

They looked at it, said it's transit damage. They are filing a claim with them. I don't see why they are worried about it getting paid for, especially being a big dealer and a 300 dollar tire...

I hope they didn't make one of those dealer videos...

Definitely no way to run a business. Sometimes you have to let the bean counters sort it out later and just take care of the situation. Best of luck to you, and as others have said, thank you for your service.

I got the truck thru military auto sales, not from that dealer... just was delivered to the closest dealer. And no, I paid under not over MSRP

I'd just put the spare on it. Roll out to another third party shop and get the tire replaced then send the bill to the dealer and the hauler. A shit show between the dealer and hauler isn't going to keep a 60k plus truck out of my hands.
