Simple get in writing that you are taking delivery of the truck with a Flat. Then call Ford Customer service and open a ticket with them. Or go ahead and bring it to another dealer and have them open the ticket with ford. Reality is that this should take them under an hour to get it approved thru ford for a replacement tire. If the tire was flat on the car carrier that should have been noted at delivery and ford would have the insurance take care of the cost.

Crown Ford in Fayetteville, NC. I was just told that the guy who orders parts isn't in, then he said he filed a claim and that ford was not going to cover it, the transport company would. When I asked what was wrong, he said they haven't looked at it because he doesn't know who is paying for it... this isn't the service manager, I'm calling him next to see what the deal is. I called and spoke with ford service, they couldn't get ahold of the service dept.

I got it through Military Auto source, I don't think AAFES has any part in it anymore.

Have you tried calling MAS? Military AutoSource - Customer Service

Since it's a drop ship unit you need to contact who ever you bought the vehicle through. The dealer that's handling the delivery gets a minimal fee to receive the truck, clean, prep and do the delivery. By minimal that fee is usually around $200

I understand that, it's to the point where if I don't ask them to do anything, they won't. It's been there since the 23 on a flat, they still haven't even determined if it is the tire or rim...

This is one of those instances where, for the sake of customer service and making/keeping a customer, the dealership should just square you away and figure out the reimbursement aspect separately. Pretty unbelievable that they would leave you hanging like that, regardless of how much they will or will not make on the transaction.

Pretty sad but that's how some dealers operate. If they aren't getting a nice cut, they could care less.

I'd cancel the order and re-order.

It's not that easy with orders through MAS. Especially for a vehicle like a Raptor.

On the GT350 forums, people were having similar issues with MAS orders. The dealers just didn't care because they were getting peanuts compared to what they could get if they were selling it with ADM.

Best thing OP can do is to bitch to as many people as possible. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.
