Some pics of the filter (going to install it next oil change). I plan on doing some blackstone oil tests the next 6 or so oil changes so we shall see what the results look like in this thread. Going to be running AMSOIL oil starting this next change as well (from motorcraft).

Interested in seeing what you find!

Also, mind getting a video of your oil change and posting it in the DIY thread? Would be much appreciated...

6.2, if the thread pitch is the same it should work for the 5.4 as well. You can always email/call canton mecca if you have that information.

I prob wont be doing my own oil change, dont have the recycle/recovery equipment nor the a good place to take it into. :(

I've had 2 7.3L diesels at one time for over 10 years. I have 2 5 gallon jugs. Autozone and Advance Auto Parts in Florida will take 5 gallons to recycle per day. I buy my filters there...Mobil 1 M1-601.......but I got the Delo or Rotella at Wally World. My local landfill takes 10 gallons of oil or coolant per visit free and will recycle the oil filters as well. I am no "greenie", but disposing of oil or antifreeze in a hole in the ground is not necessary. Talk to your auto parts shops or call your county offices and I am sure there is a place for that used oil.

Got it all installed today with some amsoil oil.

Sending off the 5k motocraft oil to blackstone for analysis.

I will post the follow up oil analysis in this thread (or start a new one).

---------- Post added at 09:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:34 PM ----------

Is this unit for the 6.2 or the 5.4.

Mine is for the 6.2 but if the thread pitch/size is the same it will work for either motor.
