Im at the point of rebuild of my 1st Gen. I love this truck and want to keep it. Trying to explore all possibilities before dropping 20k on a Livernois engine. Trying to get away from turning wrenches ...I dont care for v6 turbo Raptors due to Ford bending to the green crowd and getting away from the v8. Im more of a purist v8 truck base. I built and tunned many legendary Mitsubishi 4g63 AWD turbo cars. But putting a v6 turbo engines in a Raptor is just dumb. I know this offends the 2nd and 3 gen owners due to their desire to be on top of the foodchain lol. Anyways I found that most people here just want to impose their expertise regardless of context . Few members here gave me good info however most just look to sit on my face lol My 2nd gen frame comment smoked out the Cialis addicts lol
This one will not help your troll status.
Just because you are not a V6 guy???? so your not a V6 guy but your presumption of why Ford does what Ford does is exactly that. A presumption. Not being a V6 guy is OK I personally am not A V6 guy. I would not go as far as to call Ford's decision to move to a V6 dumb. If anything I would call it smart. Ford doesn't make money unless they sell cars. And they have sold a bunch of V6 raptors!!!!!! And I would even say they are a lot better for it. Are the V6 is trash NOPE Just the opposite. It is a unbelievable engine. If it is not for You. it is ok. I would own a V6 Raptor. Probably not a regular 150 V6.
Just Spouting your presumptions because you don't know (ignorants) continue spouting it you Might be trolling.

Apparently you didn’t learn your lesson, because there you go again with the ridiculous assumptions based on your ignorance of the topic. The Gen 2 had nothing to do with “going green”, they went with the Gen 2 EcoBoost for performance. It shares ~70% of its parts with the Ford GT.

You really show your complete lack of knowledge on these trucks when you make statements like putting a twin turbo engine in the Raptor is “dumb”. The fact that you think going from a 600lb 2V boat anchor in Gen 1 to a 200lb lighter engine with significantly more power, torque, a better power curve, and better fuel economy speaks volumes about who we’re dealing with here. You’re starting to sound more like a Sasquatch with each post.

Anyways I found that most people here just want to impose their expertise regardless of context . Few members here gave me good info however most just look to sit on my face lol My 2nd gen frame comment smoked out the Cialis addicts lol
Funny how you asked a question and got factual replies and now your claim it wasn’t any help. I spent time to provide you with everything you needed to know, which you clearly ignored. Your frame comment was just plain stupid, which seems to be a theme with your posts on here.

You’re not “offending” Gen 2 and 3 owners as you obviously intended to do, you’re just making a fool of yourself. We’ve all seen our share of dim witted cavemen on here, welcome to that club.

I get that. Let me help you. Here are Your options.

1 Junk yard motor
2 Rebuild everything your self (NOT recommended)
3 Rebuild everything sending some stuff out
4 Buy short block do the top yourself (Not recommended)
5 Buy a short block send the heads out
6 Buy a long block
7 Take it somewhere drop it off have them do all the work in any of the configurations above.
Didn't take a year to come up with. LOL

Fords move to the V6 was enforced by the EPA and carbon footprint reduction requirements. Its not to make money. It probably cost them a hell of a lot RD to comply with the new platform. Just because people buy a new Ford Raptor doesnt make it better. Its the only option if you want new. To each his own. Dodge filled in and made the TRX. What I cant stand is a V6 Raptor owners telling me Im a Troll because I think the 2 nd Gen v6 is crap which it is. Lots of empirical evidence such as VCT and timing chain failures. Show me a V6 Raptor engine with 200k miles and running and ill call myself a Troll.
Anyways im on the 1st Gen section not the 2/3 rd section so wth? The great Scotty Killmer confirms what im saying. Look him up if you havent already. Food for thought .....

I believe @Gumby is a Gen 1 guy and has really been trying to help you in this thread. But looks like you don't value his opinion which is on you.

As a Gen 2 guy, I am happy to receive help from those with the knowledge. I don't care what truck they drive. You can learn something from everyone you meet in life. Looks like I have already learned everything I can from you.

I may be in luck, Found a Raptor crate engine with zero use in a container with everything attached (intake, TB, ac etc.)

Wrong. The engine was designed for Ford GT and Raptor. That’s a fact, not an opinion. The Raptor is a low volume specialty vehicle and has essentially no impact on the fleet fuel economy average. There is no “EPA carbon footprint reduction requirements”, you made that up. Just because you believe something in your little mind does not make it true.

Just because people buy a new Ford Raptor doesnt make it better.
True. The fact that it out performs the old G1 in every measurable way makes it better. If you’re in denial of that, you’re truly a lost cause.

You really show your ignorance and lack of intellect when you call something “crap” that you don’t even have the most basic knowledge or understanding of. You have no “empirical evidence” of anything, you’re a Sasquatch. And you’re clearly intimidated by the newer trucks that wipe the floor with your clapped out 200k mile G1. Insecure much? The answer is obvious.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any dumber, you end it with Scotty Kilmer? :happy175: :happy175: :happy175: :happy175:
