Most any N/A will support FI to some degree , Preigntion and knock is what kills them. Preigntion loads are 10 times amount of normal FI combustion event . Tuning with quality fuel and driving on consistent quality fuel is key, catch a bad batch of gas and rods are hanging out. The older ECM's cant cope with knock as well as the new stuff. My 19 Raptor is on 87 octane tune now with crap 91 gas and summer heat . I also run a paper filter for the summer dust storms in Arizona . Defiantly limits the fun factor vs. AZ winter and e30 fuel . A Whippled 6.2 is fun though . GPS is laggy in the video

Good info. I took apart my 200k 6.2l and it looked pretty good. From the looks the internals are designed very well . Main caps with cross and side main bolts and good quality oiling . Wonder how sensitive the knock sensor is or can it be manipulated via ecu re programming. Years ago I worked on the Mitsubishi 4g63 turbo engines and you are correct by saying pre ignition is the enemy .))

Not that there is any thing wrong with the statement there isn't.
My suggestion you should lead with. rebuilding my Project Raptor. This is not your DD obviously. The illusion that it is seems a little troll like. Even to me. and I am the type of person that thinks all people are good till they're not.

Im at the point of rebuild of my 1st Gen. I love this truck and want to keep it. Trying to explore all possibilities before dropping 20k on a Livernois engine. Trying to get away from turning wrenches ...I dont care for v6 turbo Raptors due to Ford bending to the green crowd and getting away from the v8. Im more of a purist v8 truck base. I built and tunned many legendary Mitsubishi 4g63 AWD turbo cars. But putting a v6 turbo engines in a Raptor is just dumb. I know this offends the 2nd and 3 gen owners due to their desire to be on top of the foodchain lol. Anyways I found that most people here just want to impose their expertise regardless of context . Few members here gave me good info however most just look to sit on my face lol My 2nd gen frame comment smoked out the Cialis addicts lol
