To think that it was just this model year that we got HIDs when those have been around for 10 years.

True dat. I had an 04 Acura TL with some the best bi-xenon HIDs around even by today's standard. And they were standard equipment.

I just wish they would make a key and a key fob that actually fits in your pocket any more. I'll take the two keys that fit my Mustang over these huge things they give you these days.

Agreed. I'm trying to find a switchblade key with the right button setup.

To be honest I think they only did it because they saw how successful it became when dodge put them in the RAM.

I was extremely surprised ford did not integrate a blind spot monitoring system in the raptor. Along with a heated steering wheel and remote access/push button start. I am sure these all will be on the new raptor.

The Ram and GM trucks only have halogen projectors. They are not HID projectors. Ford is the only truck on the market with true, factory-installed HIDs.

When you do, let me know. I've been on the lookout for one for a long time, now. Finding one with remote start seems to be the problem. Lock, Unlock and Panic are easy. The remote start is the difficult one.

you don't buy the 4 door for looks or off road ability so why is there not heat in the seat I do not know. The key I like the saqeraty of actually pushing a button.

With the 801A package the front seats are heated and cooled.

All right - from an Old Timer's point of view:
I learned to drive in a 46 Chevy pickup
First, use the key to unlock the door - or just push the wing window open and use the handle on the inside
There were NO power windows, seat heaters or coolers, shit it had a really uncomfortable seat too!
Wiggle the key until the ignition is on (sort of)
Make sure the brick is under the tire because the parking brake doesn't work - transmission in neutral
Right foot on gas pedal & left on the starter pedal
Use the FOOT PEDAL for the starter that's on the floor to start the engine
If it was hot, crank out the windshield and open the side windows and the vent wings
If it was cold, break out the blankets
If you want to hear music, sing to yourself - or just ****
And finally - remember that if you loose old key you get no nookey
