justvettn, looks like the air meter is located quite a ways up the intake tube, is that right? How much closer to the TB is it? Will you measure it and let me know... thanks

INJEN says that it's a tuned mass air flow sensor adapter. The whole system is designed and dynoed to work with the Raptors OEM tune, one of the reasons I bought it, don't want to mess with the tune.
It is in a different location then the AFE I had. I will take a measurement for you shortly.

Have you taken it out of the box yet? I have had two AFE CAI for the Raptor and both were welded together metal pipes. Take a look on the inside for rough welds. If yours is plastic its something very recent because the last one I bought was less then a month ago and they were still metal.

Yeah it was all out of the box already but I'll check again when I get home.

No hurry there... I only ask cause when I was in calibration the strategy for the IAT was set at a specific distance from the TB. Now been a while since I did this shit and I dont know if they have changed their algorithms to adjust for things... Most likely the Injen adapter is set fo a different voltage.. Like the stock one might be a range of (pulling numbers from my ass here this is not the spec) .0012 - .12 and the Injen could be a bigger range...

The AFE is approximately 24 1/4 inches from the throttle body and the INJEN is approximately 21 1/2 inches from the throttle body.

Hard to take a good picture of something so shiny but this part is not just a block of aluminum with a slot cut in it like others I have seen. The INJEN is made to fit the contours of the Mass airflow sensor and is engraved like everything else with their logo which shows they are proud of the quality and effort that went into each part.

I am going with volant soon....as soon as I can bring myself to spend that much on an intake. I have dug around and read a lot and feel like the enclosed case and good filter is the right choice for me.
