I use to change the oil in my Whipples and Kenne Bells like every 4th oil change on the vehicle. So roughly 20K miles. The oil was always super black and burnt smelling coming out. The blowers make a ton of heat for sure.

Glad you finally got it back from Whipple.

Yea i was thinking going by half the service interval so every 50k. But maybe every 25k would be ideal. Still pretty impressive that it lasted as long as it did with only 1 oil change and a 3.25 pulley. I plan on moving up to a 3.5 to hopefully increase reliability and supercharger life. How often do roush superchargers need to be rebuilt? Cant find much on them. Whipple its every 100k or whenever it starts making noise.

Back when I had a Roush Mustang the Roush blowers were Eaton M80s. I installed a Kenne bell to make some real power. Then my 03 Harley Truck, basically a 4 door lighting had a Eaton M112, I ported it, and removed the silencer holes, etc. Made good power but upgraded it to a KB also with a cog belt setup. My 03 Cobra also had the Eaton M112. I went straight to a Whipple I got for a great deal. I believe the Eatons are roughly 100k before a rebuild is required if not sooner if abused hard.

So generally the 100k range for most blowers it sounds like. Im assuming the smaller pulley is what made it give up a bit sooner. Or just the short straw who knows. Any tips on the rear bolt? I found the service manual and i was just going to copy the exact tool they showed. Ratchet with an extension and a low profile 10mm wobble socket. I figured i can do most of it with my hand then tighten it down with the socket.
