exactly. we do it for organ donation, no reason a totaled truck couldn’t have a gateway module pulled.

I don’t want to do either - I hopeful this gets resolved…I just wish Ford would communicate better….just give me my damn truck - not asking for much…..how about pull from the production line?
I had some issues with a couple manufacturers and a well written email explaining your scenario and asking for more detailed updates can move mountains when sent to the right people.

Google the service executives and their email addresses at ford corporate as well as all the chief officers and you’ll usually get an “Executive Referral Manager” assigned.

Just make sure you’re not being a complainer in the email, just outline what is going on and that you’re hoping for more information on a resolution.

Concur - I’ve had luck with doing the same thing with Toyota - for some reason I can’t find anyone’s email and it’s not out there like I thought it would be…..I am working directly with Ford customer service and have been assigned a customer service rep / case number etc - but that’s as far as I’ve gotten so far……hoping for some better news this week…….but thanks for the advice - you’re not wrong.

You’re right - I apologize for being so inconsiderate. I’ll just continue to make payments on 91K and drive a lesser vehicle for as long as it takes - no big deal - I’ll pay the property tax on it and just suck it up….I won’t worry about the lack of information or the the fact they have no idea when the “simple module replacement” will be available - they said it could be months and you say I am casually using the buyback program….hmm
I’ve once had a mechanical issue right after purchase and the ford dealer paid for 2 months of car payments while they worked on it a few times. Was only out of my posession for maybe 2 weeks total but overlapped 2 months. So some dealerships are helpful, just ask “politely” if they will make ur payment while it sits on the lot waiting for repairs. Cause ur payments are for sure not what you’de be paying on that loaner truck.

Hopefully they tried everything before just ordering a new GWM. Would suck if it’s been setting there all along and it’s not a bad GWM.
