Gen1 Raptor's are holding value because there is a demand for them. Those who didn't buy one are now regretting it and trying to get one while they can.

Vehicles are great investments, especially Ford f150s. /s

I hope your Raptor never loses value, seriously, its great for you and resale if you ever choose to sell but dont put all your stock into the idea it wont/cant lose value when a new model comes out.

It doesn't matter if my Raptor loses value or not. I'm not looking to sell it. The point you keep *hiding* from is that the current Raptor is holding its value because of the demand.

You have to speculate that once the '17 Ford Performance Raptor arrives all those who want a Raptor will say "heck with the old one..." and automatically buy the new one because you have nothing else to go on.

Ive acknowledged multiple times that right now its a sellers market for the Gen 1 Raptor.

Sellers market: an economic situation in which goods or shares are scarce and sellers can keep prices high. (supply and demand and all that)

Zanemasterx - you act like we are attacking you personally. We aren't. Just your values regarding the Gen 1 Raptor. This forum is full of guys that own Gen 1's. Sure, some of them are waiting for the Gen 2 to roll out so they can get one. But that whole philosophy is based on maybe obtaining a better Raptor.

I'm not sure what you are basing your your desire on for getting a new Raptor other than what you have heard they will be offering. You yourself said that Ford hasn't given us all the facts and figures on the new Gen 2. What if they plan on having them priced at $80k. Will you still be getting one? I would if I thought it was going to be better than my Gen 1.

I don't feel that the new Raptor will be a failure. I just don't feel it will be so much better that I will have to have one right away. Or that my Gen 1 will become obsolete because of the new one.

I see a lot of Corvettes driving up and down the road. I don't see very many of the C7's. It's not because there aren't a lot of them produced. It's mainly because they are priced out of the average enthusiast's price range. It's also because the previous generations still have a lot to offer. Sure, the C7 is an awesome car, but that doesn't make the rest of them junk. And the owners of the older generations are just as passionate as we are about their generation.

So, lighten up on the personal attack campaign you seem to be on. I think that the Gen 2 owners will have a lot to offer to this forum. We will all have to learn to get along, though. And understand that not you or anyone else is going to diminish our passion for whatever generation Raptor we own.

Zanemasterx,
The Land Rover Defender is another example of a vehicle holding it's value. Last sold in the US in 1995, the value has not depreciated. Indeed examples in good condition are accruing in value. The E type Jaguar that Enzo Ferrari described as the "most beautiful car ever created" also has held it's value and appreciated over time. The first gen Raptor is not likely to have a significant drop in value as the demand remains strong. Much like the Mustang, Ford has a winner...and will make sure it continues to be the best...

The key words in your statement are "in good condition". As time goes, there will be less trucks in good condition. Modified and heavily abused trucks will be worth less than stock ones and ones that have seen less off road use.

That being said, their made to drive and enjoy, not for future resale.

I never understood the beauty of the E type. I love Jaguars, but don't find the E type that beautiful.

Honestly bro, you are one of the biggest idiots on the entire internet.

Gen 1 owners are far from bored. Current developments include a twin turbo 6.2 pushing almost 1000 RWHP, a 7.0 NA build (finally), and the "daily driver" rear link kit. We actually own trucks that we get to drive and mod. I read/comment on this forum less than once per month. And when I do check in, it's always the same ********. Just a bunch of crybaby cheerleaders.

From your own post you yourself acknowledge that there is nothing for you to discuss here, which is obviously why you just troll.

Yes. He sure is. He's been here for months talking shit about a vehicle he's never owned. Good stuff.
