I think you pretty much sum up my feelings too. If Ford doesn't come out with a new Bronco, I'll likely just add a second Raptor to the mix in a couple years. Could be a gen2 or maybe just a gently used (ha ha), gen1. One would be a daily driver then and one would become an off-road specialty.

Have you seen the CRAZY prices for used 2013 and 2014 Raptors? I did a search a few days ago, and they are selling used ones with 20 to 30 thousand miles on them for more more than I paid fully loaded out the door with the crazy California sales tax.

I have. I know mine is worth about 5-6K more than I paid for it based on kbb. What will they be going for in 2-3 years? I'm hoping gen2 is a huge hit just so a used gen1 might be more reasonable.

I don't know what they will be worth in a few years, but the dealer I purchased from phoned me this last summer asking me if I would be interested in selling it back to them because they had a lot of buyers looking. But I'm not interested in selling, I will probably never ever own a vehicle with will hold its value like this one. I think they will always hold their value better than Gen 2, especially if Gen 2 is not going to be limited in production like Gen 1, but will be cranked out like Ford Focus's.

I think you're right. Maybe if the gen2 had a 500+hp V8 and other improvements to match the wow factor of the gen1, it might be a different story. And even if I'm still a little underwhelmed by what I'm seeing with the gen2, I'm still glad there is a 2017 Raptor coming out and who knows, maybe I'll buy a gen2 someday. Maybe not lol!

Carmax's pricing on their SCAB is about 5k to 7k less than similar year and mileage SCREWS, jokes on them that the SCABS are way more rare, especially in resale value in a few years I bet.

Just adds to the mystique and aura of our Raptors. Drive the most badass truck on the planet for several years and then if you wanted to, you could sell it or trade it back in for more than you paid for it. Simply amazing and a testament to what we're driving! The best stock truck ever built!!

Why haven't they beefed up the stock tie rod yet? I mean, there really isn't an answer the production team can give as to why not, right?
