These are the images from Superman750's link.

Once it has a new bumper installed and that ugly plastic looking skid plate removed I think its damn good looking. Yes its different than the Gen 1 but I still think it looks aggressive but in a different way...futuristic sort of way. Change is good, deep breaths everyone.

Roped off? Still too top secret or what???Hope that changes by the April show here or I am going to mix words with some staff. Last year many were locked up and they even had the tail gates locked so they could not show me things like the step system, ridiculous.

Looks to me like they took all the cheap mods and put them on already, home the IWE is finally fixed but I guess it is with the weaker motor. I guess engine mods will be the most common thing on Jen 2s

Maybe it's time for change here on this website. :baby:

Suggestions:

1. Ban all talk/posts about the Gen II Raptor
2. Start a new website about the Gen II Raptor

That way:

1. The-Raptor-I-Have-Is-The-Only-True-Raptor crowd can live in 2010-2014
2. The people interested in the Gen II Raptor can have a forum where all the negative ******** is minimized.

I know you social media mavens understand that your opinion is the only one that matters but do you know that no one cares what your opinion is?

Can you newbs just stop going full retard already?

Just curious how is the newbs "going full retard" any different than the Gen 1 owners when they "go full retard" negative on the Gen 2?

I was able to reach over and try and open the tail gate, and yes they had it locked too.

But with all the animals that go to that auto show, you can't blame them. I went yesterday because it was the only day I was able to go and it's an F*****g zoo. Usually best to go during the week when it's quiet and better able to see things.

As for the Blue color, I really like it, better than the Flame blue. Not so bright, really nice.

I think some of the trepidation of the 1st gen crowd may be misinterpreted. Most of us welcome the innovation / improvements the next gen Raptor offers. However, some of us remember Ford 'fibbing' about the relationship of the production 6.2 to the 6.2 in the Raptor R - specifically none of the parts being interchangeable. Forgive us if we fall back on a 'believe it when I see it' mentality WRT advertised improvements.

Anyone paying attention to the marketing over the last several years knows that while the Eco certainly delivers in the power department (I have one), they rarely get advertised MPGs even when babied.

Lastly, suspension is suspension. You can only get so much travel out of a MT setup with 4x4. The max numbers with uniballs and heim joints is about 14" with bolt ons, a tad more with a fully fabbed setup. My guess is the new version will be in the 12" range with traditional ball joints and poly pivot points. Based on the pictures I've seen, same weak knuckles, same weak uppers and same dinky tie rods.

Some of us went 'all in' on the gen 1. The gen 2 will have to really impress me to take a 60-70k loss only to pay 60-70k for a truck with LESS capability.

Think it's funny that it's roped off at LA Auto show and wide open at SEMA

Out of all the things I don't like about the concept '17(tailgate, grill, engine displacement etc.), I still don't understand the back window and why is the opening so much smaller than previous years

Anyone heard a rumored towing capacity of the 17 Raptor's. Will it be the same as Gen 1?

@Truckzor pretty much sums up how I feel about the '17 (and I suspect most on FRF too)

There are things I like about the '17 Raptor and things I don't. What I know for a fact is that I love my current Raptor and will not get rid of it, period. This Raptor will remain in the family.

I've already stated that in 2018/2019 I will be in the market for a new truck and right now the '18/'19 Raptor would be my first choice. That could change... who knows what will be out in 2 to 3 years.

We are heading out to the LA Auto Show in about an hour. The #1 vehicle for me to see today in the Raptor... I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.

Then I'll drive my real-do-not-wait-until-late-2016 Raptor back home :)

I think you pretty much sum up my feelings too. If Ford doesn't come out with a new Bronco, I'll likely just add a second Raptor to the mix in a couple years. Could be a gen2 or maybe just a gently used (ha ha), gen1. One would be a daily driver then and one would become an off-road specialty.
