Yep, Price comes down to dealer relationship. I am sure if I wanted a 2017 Raptor when they first come out I can order one at invoice thru the Dealer that we buy all our Company trucks from. They were going to order my 2014 Raptor for me at invoice but for Tax reasons I needed on on the lot and they could not get any in time.

(Just wish they had an allocation for a GT350R as I would gladly pay them MSRP for that)

The problem is we haven't heard from anyone who has put a deposit down on a new Raptor. @zanemasterx - what did you end up paying for yours when you put your deposit down?

:specialed:

When I went to my local Ford dealer 2 months ago they were clueless on the 2017 Raptor. I was even told by one tech there that they are discontinued and arent coming back. I had to correct his mistake. I have a family member that works at another dealer but its a 5 hour drive one way but he is going to let me know when he is able to put in orders. No word on price.

Dealership allocation is going to be the issue once again. I highly doubt the gen 2 will be much different than what we've experienced over the years with gen 1's.

You think so? Ford has somewhat alluded that the Gen 2 will be a higher production vehicle and that anyone who wants one will be able to get one.

Since this truck financially became available to me 6 months ago I have watched people slowly increase the price of the 2017 raptor from a low of 53 to almost 70 grand now. I understand the markup for trucks on the lot but if you place an order and wait a few months are you really paying thousands more then sticker?

The rumor is the 2017 will start around the same price as the Gen 1 did and go up from there. Itll probably start in the mid to high $40s, maybe low $50s, then go up with options. Thats just the rumor. But like everyone said who knows how much they will go for when dealers decide to put a high premium on them.

With that being said Im not paying a premium for the truck. If I cant find a Gen 2 right away at a decent price Ill wait and look until I can. No sense in paying a premium right away when you dont have to. That money can go to bumpers and mods instead if you can wait it out a bit.

Well technically anyone who wanted a Gen 1 could get one too. Just at a premium price for most folks.

I'm sure the first year of the gen 2 release will be crazy markups because of the anticipation, limited availability, and dealerships expectations to charge a premium.

That being said, I've got dibs on the first allocation at my local dealer for under Invoice. Just not sure I want to replace my gen 1 before seeing and driving the gen 2 first.

You must have paid off the owner or something to get that deal!! Dayuuuum Gina!!!!
