Our mount attaches to the factory frame. If you are wanting to add it after you purchase our bumper it is a easy bolt on. You would have to also modify or replace the skidplate for the fairlead.
Here are some shots...
We had knocked out quite a few of these kits in house before the frame bending was an issue on the Raptors... Originally our kit was a weld on kit installed only here @ SDHQ... Since then we have adapted the kit and made it an easy bolt job.... Our kit's benefits -
Better than stock ride...
Sorry about the delay in hoping back on here...
Here are some of the +2"
With either the +0 or +2 kits we recommend running glass. Even if you are running stock sized tires, we are getting more up travel and the inner fenders will need some loving... With either the +0 or +2 kit...
We are working away at it! I will grab some pics of our +2" wider kit shortly. Like Jason said, we are slammed here at the shop and currently are concentrating on all the vehicles we have in the shop right now... Once we get out from under our install back log we are hoping to have enough kits...
We are waiting on pricing, but should have that soon... As far as lead time Icon is just waiting on their custom coils to be done... Shocks are dialed in and we have a lot ton on order!
They will offer 2 different diameters of coil over... 2.5" & 3.0" The larger the diameter of shock the more...
Stock replacement upper control arms-
Camburg
Total Chaos
Icon - soon
Stock replacement coil-over's-
King 3.0"
Icon 2.5" - soon
Icon 3.0" - soon
Fox - working on it
Front long travel-
Brenthel
SDHQ - soon
I'm sure there are others in the pipe..
Stock replacement rear shocks -...
Besides it doesn't take an "industry expert" to take a look at the kit and know there is something wrong... Have you actually taken a look at the pics I have posted... and at the facts as it relates to the kit??
That is what this thread is about... The fact that I can not explain it any better...
Bahahahaaa.... Are you seriously searching for this stuff... This makes me laugh that you would... Being in business 12+ years put a target on us... There are haters everywhere...
But to give you info on your search.. Post 31 - We installed a 4.5" lift on a Harley Superduty... Customer ran 35"...
I agree, I'm sure I lost customers... But it is worth the piece of mind that I have because of it... Maybe now kits will be tested and made sure they are safe for the general public before they are sold to the end user.
From the owner of the truck (again) -
"I told them I was interested in the shocks, they got me a pair sent to LG Motorsports. They never indicated they had concerns about them not being installed in their shop as a matter of fact they told me they would just bolt on,"
The fact that I have...
"industry respect"... To me safety trumps that... Safety is he reason I did this... I am not on here trying to sell my goods to you.. I am ok if each and everyone of the members who have a problem with me bringing up a safety concern never do business with me or my company, ever... I am ok with...
Here is the history between the shops...
I have known Jarod's father and brother for 10 years. In that 10 years we have done plenty of business back and forth, they do great transmission work and I refer everyone I can to them. To this day, in fact just yesterday, I send the two of them all...
"In this case I don’t even need to do the calculations. I can see that to torque the hardware correctly you will soon dislodge the taper just by the fact that the upper nut is larger than the bottom."
Not from me but an offroad suspension engineer. And don't forget you are trusting the...
Here is the problem with that...
From the owner -
"I told them I was interested in the shocks, they got me a pair sent to LG Motorsports. They never indicated they had concerns about them not being installed in their shop as a matter of fact they told me they would just bolt on,"
and earlier...
Thanks for your input.
I don't rub everyone the right way... I am ok with that.. The way I handle my business now is the same way I have handled it when I started my own shop 12+ years ago... When a customer comes here they know what they are getting... They never have to worry about leaving...
Sure... Notice the different size of the Add hardware top and bottom.. and then re-read this -
"The other no-no in both those spacers is pulling a taper into the spindle and then pulling back on it when the other hardware is installed. It’s called an “indeterminate structure” and unless an...
If you still don't understand the binding of the suspension with the Add coil over spacer installed...
http://www.bilsteinus.com/fileadmin/user_upload/user_upload_us/pdfs/Bil_LevShks_WebArticle.pdf
The reason it is dangerous on the Add setup is the design of their upper arm and 7 1/2" bolt...
What would designing a longer knuckle do?
The reason people go with aftermarket upper arms on the raptor is strength. With either the Camburg or Toatal Chaos arm you are getting a uniball in place of the factory ball joint.
The whole spacer bolt thing that is on the Add suspension is their own...
I understand quite a few of you are upset because it is a sponsor of this board who is the MFG. That should not change anything.
So again to state the facts that some of you seem to be overlooking in the engineering of the suspension system that is in question and has been sold to end...
LOL...
Here again is the statement from an offroad suspension engineer... Not from SDHQ
Anybody stating that they are getting more travel with a spacer lift is false. The shock is both the bump and droop stop. You only get as much travel as the shaft and motion ratio will allow, it’s...
Why do I? Because I have the knowledge to know when a product is not safe and I could care less about any back lash from stating it. The quote about the hardware is not from me but an offroad suspension engineer. The Camburgs and TC are designed correctly, neither are designed like the 7 1/2"...
