So I picked up the same antenna as Ironman and plan to mount it on the roof.

Here's my question. Has anybody tried to run the wire through the sunroof??? Is there enough gap to get the wire through without crushing it?

If you all haven't run it through the sunroof how did you run the antenna wire onto the cab?

The sun roof has a bubble like gasket so it should fit but I wouldn't just in case snow melting through that gap.
I'm gonna go through the back door, gaskets there should seal and get rid of any water that might want to come in plus I wouldn't want to take a chance that the sunroof gasket holds a kink after the cable is removed cause it's kinda thin.

That's what I'm doing, out the door and up on top. Makes it easier should I be in a shady place and I want to pull the antenna down.

I was wondering the same thing, but even if its only 91, a 2 octane variance for a few tanks is not going to cause any issues. You can always pick up a few bottles of Octane Boost if your really concerned.

Mostly 91/92. I've seen a few that have 93 but don't remember where they were.

Is it not if your set on a 87 you don't want to put 93 in but if you are set for 93 it don't hurt to put 87 in? + don't these pickups sense the octane and adjust to a certain degree. all I know is the more octane the leaner it runs.

Yeah, what he said. Remember radio wave propagation is kind of like an arc, up and away, so the higher you can get the better for transmission and reception.

Long story short, roof is fine and probably one of the better spots on the truck.

I like to visualize/call that "The doughnut of hope"

I have one too.
