@ $125/hr they are charging me 20hrs for the whipple so $2500 installed with tune.

They also want $1500 to do a header install.

Is this fair? Im in the field with my truck waiting for parts at the moment.

Thanks in advance

I have the suspicion the guys doing my install are milking the labor.

Woo... Man I got my headers and full exhaust installed for 550. And my whipple install was only like 1250 installed a tune should be about 700 tuned with chip in hand.

Header install is usually between 1000 and 1500....

Now I believe the Whipple should be 10 hour install and if they are dyno tuning it themselves I have heard of shops wanting it a full day 8 hours. Whipple has tune foe headers. Why not just use that?

Is it a costume Tune? Meaning did they Dyno Tune it, that's why it's 20 hrs.?

20 hrs. is a long time just for the SC install, was it their first one?

I'd say 20 hrs is pretty high. A buddy and I installed 2 whipples in about 16 hrs.

from Whipple's website...

about a "mechanically inclined" person...

needing "6-10 hours of installation time"

"Being mechanically inclined requires 6-10 hours of installation time depending on which system. Every system is very straightforward in its design and installation. Instructions are very detailed and Whipple’s customer support is always helpful. No cutting or welding required."
