Outside of aesthetics…is there a preferred wheel size and tire combination that you run for overall feel and performance (street vs. off road)?

1). Pros/Cons of going from 17” to 18” wheels?

2). Pros/Cons of going from 17” to 20” wheels?

3). Does anyone regret their wheel & tire combination?

On my 13 screw I went from 17" methods 0 offset back to my factory 17" Beadlock wheels and added the ford racing Beadlock rings and absolutely love the look and feel on the road and off. Using General Grabbers for the first time and they kicked *** at TRR 2021. I normally used NITTO TRAIL GRAPPLERS or TOYO open county but I think I'm sticking with GG's moving forward.
On my 1st truck which was a 2010 scab I hated the wheels it came with so after seeing a truck online with 20" Fuel wheels I decided to try them and that made my truck look awesome. Truck looked great and ran fine on the road but once I started going off road I didn't like them so much and even on that 2010 scab I found me some later year 17" Beadlock wheels (the revolver holes looking ones) which look great and performed great. 20" wheels felt heavy as hell and i didn't like the added stress on my suspension. Below are some pics of both the 2010 scab and 2013 screw with 20" fuel wheels, 17" methods, 17" factory revolvers, and 17" factory revolvers with ford racing Beadlock rings which are on currently. Sorry they're not in order but you can figure which is which.

Any difference between 17” vs. 18”? Or, just an odd size in between? And would agree…20” wheels tend to “look” nicer aesthetically, but…maybe not ideal once you get off pavement.

I've never tried 18" wheels actually. Can't imagine it would make a difference either way. Except maybe in tire availability or tire cost.
The only reason I'd put 18" wheels on is maybe if I ran into a really good bargain that I couldn't pass on.
