I'll start off by saying I am a novice with exhaust and I won't try to act like I know my stuff. But I am looking for an exhaust system that would be louder than the stock but not "head turning loud". I don't like the trucks that drive by going 20mph and it sounds like all hell is breaking loose! I want no drone, and something that is good quality but not extremely expensive. Thanks in advance!

A few questions.
1. Want muffler or full cat back system
2. Budget? Cat backs typically run 700+

Might I suggest a Cold Air Intake. It'll make your truck a bit louder... Really opens the truck up.

Options:
MBRP
Borla
Gibson
Magnaflow

I'd look at MBRP

Full cat back system. I am not as worried about the money as I am getting a quality system. And yes I am already sold on getting the 5star tuner plus intake so that will be another mod. Sounds like Roush is winning by poplarity votes? Price wise?

If you plan on off-road driving, you may want to pick a system other than Roush, as I understand it exits under the rear bumper.

I wanted a system similar in appearance to the stock, but with much nicer tips. I also wanted a deeper tone and no drone at all (I already have a car with plenty of LOUD). I went with the Borla Touring Cat-back. It has a resonator as part of the system. Both my wife and I are pleased with the exhaust note: deep, but not too loud for her ears.

If you plan on a lot of off-roading, go with a turn-down exhaust. MBRP makes a very nice system. If they offer theirs with a resonator, you want it.
