meh, shit just ain't worth it. save your breath.

Save yourself the headache of having the dealer's best C tech touch your truck every time.

The owner of the dealership is essentially having the service department eat shit for the sales manager's lack of professionalism.

Think that they'll be happy about it? Think that might come through on how your vehicle is perpetually treated?

but I guess retribution or whatever could be satisfying, but what point are you really proving by having someone else pay you back for the sales jerk's idiocy.

My suggestion?

" I want the sales **** to work for a week per month doing oil changes and tire rotations. He gets paid what the normal oil change tech gets paid for that week. I figure that based on you offering me free oil changes, the service department has to pay for his screw-ups, so he should be forced to return the favor. just let me know what week per month that is so that I can schedule my free service appointments during the other 3 weeks. Holding your employee truly accountable for mistreating a customer is the only way that I'll actually feel better about the situation. Thanks."

If you had that terrible of an experience, then by all means bomb the survey. But the fact is that many customers come into a dealership with a mindset that they’re going to get screwed and the dealer is out to get them. That’s not always true, but it clouds their judgement on every interaction.

Will you have bad dealers? Certainly. But I think certain issues get blown far out of proportion. I’m not referring to your case but saying in general.
I'm 68 years old, can basically afford any truck I want, but I hate going to dealers, used or new. I've purchased plenty of new and used cars, never been treated like I thought I should. Always made to feel as though THEY are doing you a favor by selling you one of their precious vehicles. I've caught almost every dealer in a lie of some sort, not the dealer you say? - it's the salesman? Bologna, the the environment of cheat, lie and steal from every buyer is what makes the experience typically right below a root canal for most people.

I didn't do anything yet. I got the email from the dealer owner on Friday.
We will start a go fund me to pay for some oil and filters. Burn the dealer. After all, what good is a survey if it is disingenuous. You think Momma Ford sends them out for no reason?

Anyway, you can reply to the email, but it's doubtful you'll even get a response. It's probably some robo-shit.

I can't say I disagree with you. The free state inspection is a really old scam. Free state inspection that cost $35, but they will never pass it unless they replace some unneeded parts that they charge you out the butt for. Now they just got paid for the free inspection. You could have wipers that are a day old and they will have to replace them because they are "worn". A lot of dealers in the area throw in free state inspections with nearly every new car they sell, because they know they will come out way ahead in the long run. The oil changes I planned on doing myself with Mobil 1. I don't know that I would trust them to not put el-cheapo oil in it.
