TPMS fault is different than TPMS low pressure warning. You likely need a new TPMS on one tire, but it is 10 years old and battery powered.Weird thing just happened. TPMS warning light goes off flashing like I'm about to die while I'm driving to the store. Started maybe 2 minutes before I pull into the parking lot. I get what I need, stop at the gas station to put in a bit of air to get it to 39 psi where I normally have it. It's only down 2 or 3 psi, driving home it's screaming at me the whole time... flashing the low pressure light and dinging the dash for a tpms fault. Whatever I'm going to 4wp to get the tires checked out anyways, i don't care.
I go back out there because I realize I need some supplies for a project I'm working on; turn the truck on to drive to the hobby store and it the light or alarm never comes on once. Complete mystery to me. Never once happened in 10 years of ownership.
That just happened to me last week. I checked the PSI and it was higher than it should have been, so I lowered all four down to 42 and it hasn’t done it since. I was thinking it’s probably the battery in the TMPS and will need to get them replaced soon.Weird thing just happened. Brand new on all 5 as of last week. TPMS low pressure was on the morning of because we had a bit of a cold front roll in, thats why I threw some air in. Was off when I left from work in the afternoon The only other thing I could think of was some sort of interference, as I've heard that the signal can get hung up on some EMI.TPMS fault is different than TPMS low pressure warning. One of the first things I did was install the wheel sensor guards on my 2010 after reading how easy it was to break one. Totally forgot about doing them all those years ago until reading your Baja post!View attachment 472367[/ATTACH]View attachment 472369View attachment 472368View attachment 472369
A couple images from a recent 8 day, 2,400 mile Baja trip. Installed some wheel sensor guards today after breaking a wheel sensor down there.
