Hey, you guys that have the A.R.E. Overland topper, what did you do about the lack of the 3 marker lamps in the 3rd brake light on the topper?

Sorry, not sure what you are referring to.... Topper has the 3rd brake light, but I don't think that is your question.

The OEM third brake light has the 3 red "marker" lights in it. There are 5 marker lights front and rear...two in the fenders and 3 in the grill on the front and 3 in the rear brake light. I was wondering what you did to replace the marker lights that aren't incorporated in the 3rd brake light on the topper.

Found out that I could get 6 tires in the bed with very little else and that Firestone was closing early today. Hopefully I have better luck tomorrow.

No EGR, cat, DPF or any other kind of emissions on his truck. Straight MBRP 3" Downpipe into Diamond Eye 4" straight pipe that is dumped as a turndown right before the rear differential. EFI Live tuned by Kory Willis at PPEI (Of Course, Via my old company Synthetic Motorsports that I walked away from to start Freedom Motorsports). His is a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD LB7 ZF-6 with South Bend Ceramic dual disc clutch, Hummer H2 wheels, S&B Intake, and a few other goodies. Dynoed with 467hp and 854 lbft tq to the rear wheels. Not exactly a true built beast, but plenty for a 17 year old IMHO. Enough for him to drive it with his head held high anyway...lol

thats more truck than i had at 17. he is lucky to have a father like u. i was on my 2nd vehicle by then which I had to buy. 92 jeep cherokee which i think saw more dirt than pavement. man those were the days!

Same here. My first car was a '76 Chevy Vega and I didn't have another second vehicle until after I left the Corps. I am hoping that providing that vehicle, along with my teaching, training, encouragement, etc will all work together for his good and keep him on the right path to a successful happy life. I gave him the truck, but I have made him almost rebuild the entire truck before being able to drive it. (There wasn't much wrong with it, but I did wear out a few things...lol). Instead, I made him use his own money to buy a $600 2000 Suzuki Esteem, he put $400 into the maintenance, etc. So he has both had to buy his own first car, pay for the maintenance, perform that maintenance and almost completely rebuild his Duramax. I believe that he is now getting to the point that he realizes the true value of not only a dollar, but also but also the value of taking care of his own vehicles.

Ahh, I gotcha. Short answer is nothing. Totally forgot about the markers until your question. So, yes, they are blocked by the topper and the topper's brake light does not sport them. Only thought I'd have is to contact Andy from ARE (he's our contact here on the forum). I've been impressed with his customer service as I designed my cap.

Philosophy to live by, training is everything. If I ever had a child, I will buy the turdiest manual transmission vehicle possible and make them make it better.

Kory is who I was gonna have retune my duramax if I didn't sell it for my raptor. I had ppe stage iv transmission kit, aftermarket garret turbo, flo pro down pipe, 4" dumped exhaust, efi live by Idaho rob, egr, dpf delete, and some other goodies too long of a list to put out. Found the dyno sheet inside the glovebox and it had right at 600hp, and it showed every bit of it. Love my diesel trucks!
