I always love working on mine and others diesel trucks it's like second nature to me. But those turbos do suck sometimes

He was having quite a time with the up-pipe bolts on the back of the turbo. He hasn't quite mastered using his imagination to come up with creative ways to use extra tools for leverage when a bolt is too tight for him. He does well, but his inexperience definitely shows.

Do you have write up for this?/QUOTE]

No. R1jamin did a perfect write-up on the differential cover installation. See here: http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f170/install-mag-hytec-rear-differential-cover-33476/ I would only add that removal of the factory differential cover is by far the hardest part.

The breather takes about 18 feet of 5/16" fuel line, a breather filter from any auto parts store, some brass fittings to adapt the breather (likely 3/8") to the 5/16" hose, some zip ties, and some crawling around under the truck. It really doesn't merit a write-up.

Yes those bolts are ridiculous and the way the turbo is right against the cab sucks. Luckily I had an aftermarket turbo and someone had removed the heat shielding and insulation back there so it was easier for me to get around even though the up pipe I had was larger. But wait till he deletes the egr on the truck. He will want to set the thing on fire. Speaking of he should probably do it while you have the truck apart.

Oh and I washed my truck today.

fog light dimmer / strobe module

I installed a dimmer / strobe module for my M&R LED fog light kit! Really sweet for under 10 bucks! I can run them at reduced power at night or for daytime running lights without fear of getting flashed or pulled over. It does some pretty cool strobe effects and has last setting memory. Install was a 10 minute job. I got this one from another vendor but also ordered one from M&R for a back up or later addition for just $5.00, M&R is a great company to do business with.

First oil change and tire rotation. Had dealership move my rear tires as spares (thanks TRR!) and my two new spares into rotation. Oh and I got ripped off today on what they charged me.

No EGR, cat, DPF or any other kind of emissions on his truck. Straight MBRP 3" Downpipe into Diamond Eye 4" straight pipe that is dumped as a turndown right before the rear differential. EFI Live tuned by Kory Willis at PPEI (Of Course, Via my old company Synthetic Motorsports that I walked away from to start Freedom Motorsports). His is a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD LB7 ZF-6 with South Bend Ceramic dual disc clutch, Hummer H2 wheels, S&B Intake, and a few other goodies. Dynoed with 467hp and 854 lbft tq to the rear wheels. Not exactly a true built beast, but plenty for a 17 year old IMHO. Enough for him to drive it with his head held high anyway...lol
