I personally don't care for the look or beam patterns of the rigid 360 series. 60° is too wide IMO for a driving light and 17° isn't tight enough for a spot light. I'm sure they are ok lights but I don't think they stack up to BD or vision x.

When you went from the gen 1 vision x single light cannon to the CG2 multi led, did you lose quite a bit of distance?

Yeah, I am not really feeling the 360 series. I side of me wants to like them but I just think Rigid products are tacky. A lot of their stuff they came out with in recent years seems tacky. Especially the Radiance light bars with the light up logos on each end. I was fond of Rigid before the sold themselves off.

So, when it comes to VisionX. I did lose distance going from the 25w gen1 single source LED compared to the 49w gen2 multi LED. The distance is there with the 25w but since I had the lights low to the ground, it was hard to angle the light onto the roadway down the trail where I needed it.

For my mounting application, the mult LED cannon in my bumper is a far superior option at functionality. I tried the snap on covers but I they covered that beautiful optic and I hated the look.
Following photos are 2 of the 25w single VX cannon:

Great product and performed as advertised.

Buuuuut, I switched them out to the VX CG2 cannons:
One issue, due to them being recessed in my bumper, it blocks a considerable amount of peripheral flood.

Flat desert. iPhone does a so-so job capturing the effect. 2 CG2 lights.

Better photo. Only two VG CG2 cannons on in below ( and above) photo.

Both are completely different lights! I like them both. That is why I am on the fence with VX vs BD.

I think the 6’7” ADV would put out more light than the LP4. Probably cheaper to buy too. However, I think the amber back light of the LP4 and the side peripheral lighting eeks it out in front. Super excited about the LP4. Just waiting for price at this point.

The gen 1 light cannons I had were 8.7 inch (three mounted) and I had elliptical lenses on two and a combo lens on the center one. I have my current setup of multi LED on the outside positions, ADV series next to them and one single LED in the center pointed straight down the road. As I am not using any light spreading lenses I’d say the distance is pretty close to the same but I sold the other truck about 2 yrs ago.

I have a road trip planned during Thanksgiving week I’ll try to through the GoPro on the windshield and get some photos

4x4TruckLed's.com is selling the LP4 for $382.46. The 6.7" ADV is $379.99. The LP6 is $427.46.

The IPT LED's are definitely incredible. The extra 2 spot reflectors on LP6 might make it a better deal then the LP4 and especially if they have a black friday rebate this year on them.

Thanks to both of you on your feedback on the vision x gen 1 vs the CG2's.

Interesting! Ok, thanks for finding that. I was just on their site a few days ago. Had no clue a vendor put that up on their site. One thing with the LP series from BD is factoring in the cost of the not included wiring harness.

I have some serious thinking on my hands. Can’t wait to post what route I go. Black Friday is what I am waiting for. I hope the deals this year are epic!

Np on the VX comparison. Glad you took something from it.

So many good options for lighting out there, and to top it all off, I'm a classic over thinker. Good luck with your decision! I don't think you can go wrong.

The included wiring harness is always something I over look but is a very valid point, as I build my own out of BNtechgo wire, PET loom, Deutsch connectors and waterproof relays and fuse links.

In some ways, it would be nice to take advantage of the 30 day return BD offers and compare the LP4 to the LP6. Or if BD or a vendor would kindly do a comparison of the 3 LP lights in both spot and Driving/Combo.:)

I would love to see that comparison! No joke. After seeing the price on the LP4. I am like 51/49 in favor of the LP4 over the VX ADV. my wife likes the look of the VX ADV more and I keep going back and forth......

I feel the the BD product would hold its value better should I want to sell and upgrade down the road....

Ya, the white backlight on the VX ADV is cool and apparantly it's fairly bright and can be used to light up a camp site. Let us know what you decide to go with.

Will 100% post it when I order and when they arrive. Thanks for the conversation. Much appreciated.
