Steering wheel shake

2024 Raptor R New wheel and tire setup, and it has been a nightmare to figure out the issue. Had a set of 17” Vossen HFX-1 with 37” Toyo RT trails installed which are all stock size, and the steering has felt loose and shaky at higher speeds. It seemed like a balance issue, but I have taken it to 4 different shops (including the ford dealership) and nobody can figure out the issue. It has been road force balanced numerous times, and they all balance into spec. The wheels/tires themselves are all in spec and not bent or out of round. We put the stock setup on to make sure it wasn’t something with the truck, and no shake at all with stock tires. I really love the new setup and want to see if anyone else out there has had/ knows something and could give some helpful advice? After all the searching for answers I did think maybe an upgraded steering stabilizer could help?

No one else with this same issue?

I have a 24 Raptor R, did the eibach pro lift and drove it for a week before sending it to hennessey to get the velociraptor 1000 package. Wasnt impressed with the springs, nothing compared to when i installed them in my 800hp+ 2023 trx, but didnt noticed the "shake", just awkward stiff front suspension.... in hennessey i chose not to do the bumpers, other esthetic mods and lift since they do 3" lift with spacers on top of the shocks and the guy told me my setup "was better", but added the brembo brake upgrade. Because of that upgrade they did the "upgraded" 20" wheels which are vossens and 37x12.50 bf's all terrain... as soon as i got the truck, without driving it i changed the tires for 37x13.50 nitto recon grapplers, which required minor trimming....

i cant express how dissappointed i am and how much i hate how it handles... front suspension is just so stiff like its stretched all the way, steering wheel shakes a lot, hiting bumps is awful, and when i'm WOT hitting around 100mph truck justs starts to zig zag all around, its impossible to keep it straight...
I was considering doing suspension limit straps but i consider that wont get rid of the steering wheel shake. So i just ordered SDI top hats and some foutz 3/4" rear spacers and will be putting the bf all terrain back hoping this will fix the ride... if not, i'm considering returning to stock brakes so i can do stock wheels/tires... since i didnt do a "1,040hp" upgrade to not be able to drive it above 100mph

Anyone has experienced this and found a reason for this to happen?

are the wheels hub centric or lug centric? You may need an adapter/spacer if they’re not hub centric. I think we had an FRF with a high speed issue, and that’s what it turned out to be.

THIS. Is what I like to call “clueful information”.

You have a bad combination here and have several choices.
1) continue to blindly dump money into achieving what you want
2) Revert and stop dumping money.

Above are the 2 dividing point options. My bet is on the wheels, even though you said you had the wheels checked for bends or run out.
I did think maybe an upgraded steering stabilizer could help?
NEVER modify a vehicle with a known problem or issue. Troubleshooting the problem will only become more complicated with more variables with each additional change.

Those Toyos are heavy and I personally didn't like them on my Jeep with 37s at the time.. They sucked to balance and I believe I eventually used beads to balance, but they still had issues. My Jeep was a 95% dirt rig so I didn't get too concerned.

Personally at this point I'd put the BFGs on those rims, balance and road test to confirm its a tire issue and rule out the wheels.

didn’t hennessy get sued multiple times for swindling people out of there money with shady business practice? anyway, if your new wheel package wobbles and the stocks don’t… the answer is right in front of you. no matter how many different shops keep mounting and dismounting them the issue is with them. you can try swapping you stock tires on the aftermarket wheels to see if it’s the wheels or the tire. tires could have manufacture defects, wheels can be bent, have warped mounting surfaces, you could be using the wrong lug nuts, ect.

Correct me if im wrong but fox 3.2 internal BYPASS shocks in the r have around 6 -7” of stroke on the front . With you locking out 3” with that spacer you have near 3 “ of stroke left and are riding around in the non bypass section portion of the shock. Also the camber correction you'd have to run on the alignment is why its driving like shit.

Welcome on board, Did they check wheel balance without tire ? amlost sure issue come from what @smurf explain...
