Ford is doing just what they said they would do. Give dealers some "For Stock" O/T 2 orders. Build them, check them over, and make sure Everything is a go, before pulling/Vin'ing & Sch'ing "Sold" O/T 1 orders.

My first 2 "For Stock" O/T 2 orders, have not Updated in the system, for more than a week. There are just sitting, with an ETA of Nov 14th (3 days ago) to dealer. IF THESE WERE "SOLD" Orders, my customers would be SCREAMING @ Ford, for not shipping "Their" Raptors!! lol

Called SVT and Ford has changed my O/T 2 delivery date from 11/21 to 11/28. Not sure if that's good or bad ... I just want to hear that its on a train heading to California

I would say thats good news for two reasons.
1. That they must be getting ready to release the 2012s and have and are updating the delivery dates not just sitting on them.
2. They plan on shipping soon, like next week.

This gives all us waiters hope that the VIN flood gates will soon be opened.

Anyone have any idea how long it takes a train to get across country? --- This part I would guess is probably like 4 days. Usually if you order something from that end of the country and it comes UPS ground it takes 3-4 days, I would think a train is about as long as a truck?? Anyone??
Then it get here and they unload, sit in a lot, load on a truck, deliver to a dealer? --- I would think this part alone would be a few days. I think Im rambling.... Shit!

Fellow FRF members its been 3 minutes since I have thought about my new truck.......I just cant take it, I think I will order some new parts for a truck i dont even have yet...HELP!!!

I can answer you question regarding Ford motor company transit times by rail. I worked 7+ years for Ford/norfolk southern at Kansas City mixing Center. Which shipped all westbound Ford products.
It would take 2-3 days from most plants to kc mix. Then we had 24 hours to unload the railcars and reload the vehicles on outbound railcars. Then it could take another 24-48 hours to load enough railcars to call for power. The norfolk southern would pick up the train and deliver it to the destination (another 3-4 days to mira loma or benica california)
Once unloaded at destination it could be the same day if the dealer picks it up (like randy does) or a couple of days if it is hauled semi to deslership. There are a lot of variblesto predict accurate transit times (there are flat tires, dead batteries, mis parked vehicles, defective railcar doors, etc)
So the short answer best case to california 7-14 days worst case vehicle wrecked at facility and totaled (ford builds a new vehicle) 2 months.
