One more question, why did you guys jump up to FIC 1000's? I can't imagine you would need more fuel than what say an ID 850 can give you if you guys are only looking for 600-700 rwhp? I mean nobody would want to run E85 in these trucks right, and wouldn't need that extra fuel?

Thanks guys, this project sounds awesome and I can't wait till you guys are done.
Most of our similar kits we offer 60lbs with the option for 80's or 96's. But because of the complexity of these, the tuning, etc. we opted for one option....BIG. The 1000's will still run 91 pump and idle fine, yet it gives us the ability to go for BIG #'s or run E85, or do really what ever we want!

From the customer stand point, you'll probably never have to change them or upgrade them again, regardless of what fuel you're running or what your power goals are.

Plus the ID1000's are a really well know by tuners for with the compensation offsets. Now we aren't using "ID's" but they're the exact same injector milled in the exact same way by FIC who's huge in the LS community. We even did testing with the original Raptor with a set from FIC and a set from ID....identical in every way!

E85 is on the horizon. It can currently run C12 as well. We are already working with Lund and he has tuned one of our TT Raptors. We will continue to work with him and our other tuner, HPP Racing, to develop the tune.

I didn't want to give names till you did! ;)

HPP tuned a handful of my buddies 03 Cobras from Baylor. They have nothing but great things to say about the guys there. This kit is going to be insane...can't wait to see the final product!

Technically as a tuner I am a rival to these guys. However I have to say that I was quite impressed with them. From their attention to detail, to their abilities, to their willingness to take advice from another tuner. These guys were very professional, and were able to smooth out the throttle issues that had been plaguing us. This coming from competition, which generally looks for negative aspects to boost their own ego, says alot for them.

I'm sure every shop has someone that's had a bad experience, or more so knows a friend of a friend.... but as far as my experience, I would recommend them.

There's a demo for ID injectors that T1 did, having a stock Integra run on ID2000s. They scaled down well enough that it ran just like it should have with the "right" sized injector. I'll dig up the YT video later, my laptop is about to die.

IIRC, FIC/ID are the same injectors manufactured by Bosch. ID just flow matches them closer to eachother.

Edited: It was T1 and not Buschur.

ID2000's scaled down to nothing, way less than ID/FIC1000s on our trucks:

In the LS community (which I are part of) you won't find a more beaten to death topic about flow matching and variance lol. FIC or ID, one is more expensive than the other, but I have heard success from both, making that expense not exactly necessary... ID is just local to DFW so I gotta lean that way.

Love your responses man!

When we set out on this journey it was expressed the importance to have flow matching and a useable offset table that was very precise since these ECU's are so picky. So we opted for ID's, even though my main distributor is FIC. When FIC got wind of this he pitched me on his, and this is pretty much what he said:

"They are the same injector, period. We both buy the same injector from the same source, we both pay $28 for it, and we both mill them the exact same way. We machine down the tip until (something) is visible, and that's it. Now it's a 1000cc injector."

He then sent me out a set of injectors *FREE* just so I could compare them. He dared me to tune the truck fully on the ID's and then swap in the FICs, see if there was any sort of variance or change. And well, there wasn't. Everything from idle, to 02FB, to AFR under WOT, to the power it made....everything was exactly the same. Now if FIC is so confident in their product that they're willing to send me out a set free, that says a lot! I believe in quality products, and I would never send anything with one of our kits that I was not 100% confident with. And I believe in a profit margin, after all, that's why every one of us goes to work everyday. However a 425% margin is a bit much for a little time on a lathe. If I can find a comparable product for a better price, with a company that backs it, I will; and pass that savings onto my customer, who is ultimately pleased with me!

I have been dealing with FIC for quite a while now, and I have to say they're on point. Great customer service, and to this day I have yet to have a single issue with any of their injectors on any line (import or domestic), and we use ALOT of injectors. And believe me, I've seen my fair share of crappy injectors, so I know the importance of a quality injector just as well as the next tuner.

Any progress made on this? I will be towing soon with my Raptor and thinking about the lack of torque in the stock setup made me think "I wonder how the twin turbo setup is coming along?" :)
