If the battery is dead it won't start anyway. If emergency entrance is needed, there's usually a rock or two nearby ....I am so anxious with electronic or battery issue that each time I use keypad , I take in my pocket or bag, the "extra "metal key which is in the gloves box from dealer or factory...
It's not a big deal if I loose it and cheap to build again.
