GEN 2 Truck Order Discussion

So I decided on a Agate Black that was a dealer order, since it was supposed to arrive soon, over ordering a custom build. After first being told the dealer order will arrive on 11-19, now I'm being told it is sitting on the lot. It has a build date of 10/27, but for some reason has been delayed.

Now I'm kicking myself for just not going through with my custom build, since I'm still over a month away, at best, from getting a truck.

This dealer gave me a great trade in on my 2017, so I feel kind stuck. Or else I'd go find a 2019 on lot.

Does anyone know how that process works? When Trucks have been built but are just sitting there in the lot, I just dont get how the oldest builds are sitting while the more recent builds are already on dealer lots.

So Raptor gets over the GVWR of 6000 requirement easily, but looks like it may not qualify with that 5.5 bed, hence the bed extender.

So i guess i have to live with the bed extender. Sucks that its gonna get in the way of the bed lights.

Someone needs to come up with a switch relocator kit for this. Hard to believe Ford missed something like this.

My guess is it has something that needs repair and they haven't gotten to it yet. By now, all that are problem free should have been shipped.

Thanks, thats my guess as well. Dealer said it was on Ramp 59...and after a quick search, Ramp 59 is not a place that you want your truck to be. I'm afraid it will be sitting there for a while and I'm not sure there is anything I can do about it.

The problem with mine is, it's a dealer build. So the normal tracking site will not work-I have to use Chat every time.

It's frustrating that a truck is built waayyy before others that are now on lots, and Ford will not let the buyer know the cause for delay.

Yeah all they have to do is have the dealer rep email their zone rep and they can find out.

Welp, just got off FP CHAT. Looks like anther week of not being scheduled. (802a, Recaros, AGATE BLACK SCAB)

I ordered 11/08.

I did glean one tidbit, representative tells me that mostly supercrews are being built(but thats true most of the time anyway right) and that scheduled orders are receiving late December dates.

Any newly scheduled out there, if so what build date?

I am trying to gauge when i can take delivery, Before I file taxes, or after- lol

Someone just said they got a VIN and build date of 1/28 week of. They are scheduling into 2019 by now for sure, as the plant shuts down for 2 weeks for Christmas anyways

I ordered 11/3, dealer made it a priority 1 after talking to Ford rep and I got scheduled today for a build date of 1/21/19. I honestly don't know if I want to wait that long lol.
