I have a question.

For those who ordered the bed extender, is the bed extender installed at the dealer or factory?

I ordered the bed extender, but now think I would like the divider instead.

I would hope I could tell dealer not to bother to install it, so I can sell the extender on ebay and then get a divider with the cash.

I ordered the extender thinking I needed it to Qualify for the Section 179 deduction(which says you need 6 ft + to qualify) but just thinking iam going to go with the mileage deductions(gonna buy other equipment in 2019 for business anyway) .

Let me know!

I’d like to meet the person that came up with the process of orders/shipments and tell them what a ****** job they did. Lol

EDIT: pic is old but my eta is now 12/6 as of 11/16(2 days after shipment)

Agreed. Hope your info is correct and maybe mine will show up magically at similar time.

It's factory installed. I ordered it and was originally going to order the divider, but decided on the extender because it can be used as a divider and an extender. My only regret is it blocks the bed lights switch.

Heh, check out the moving target that has been my delivery estimate.

11/18->11/30->11/29->11/25

Then on 11/19 the status changed to 11/27. Well it's 11/27 now, and in the course of 3 hours my status has gone from delivered in 1 day to 23 days to 1 day, back to 23 days and now has been on 2 days. Kicker is the truck is an hour away at the rail yard and there has been at least two shipments from the convoy company that delivered 10 f-150s that were manufactured the same week or later than mine.

GVWR and Bed. Raptor ha

"Other heavy “non-SUV” vehicles and trucks with a cargo area at least six feet in interior length (this area must not be easily accessible from the passenger area.) To give an example, many pickups with full-sized cargo beds will qualify for a full deduction (although some “extended cab” pickups may have beds that are too small to qualify)." source https://www.section179.org/section_179_vehicle_deductions/

So Raptor gets over the GVWR of 6000 requirement easily, but looks like it may not qualify with that 5.5 bed, hence the bed extender.

So i guess i have to live with the bed extender. Sucks that its gonna get in the way of the bed lights.

There was plenty of light on my 17 with them in there still. There are lights in the front and the rear taillight turns on.

I’m still nervous to use a 76,000 truck as a business deduction. Feel safer using mileage

Aside from a sales manager, is there any way to directly contact Ford logistics or a regional rep? My truck is built has been shipped and is sitting at the local rail yard. The estimate delivery changed from yesterday to 12/20. On Monday I was told they put in a rush to get the truck transferred over. The next day, the estimate moved out another 3 weeks.
