I guess if you take into consideration the big picture and see how the country is being run into the ground, it shouldn't surprise us that the motor that was in the best selling Ford Truck made in 2014 is being discontinued and the Eco is being driven down our throats. Redneck or not, give me the dependability of a V8 anytime, along with the dependability factor is also the history around how long Ford has been making V8 motors. There is a great deal to be said about us Rednecks!

I do have the loudest exhaust. Still sounds good though. Don't need the truck balls. I figured the engine would be a good enough substation for the raisenets I'm packing. Train horns? Meh, I'll just flash me with all my lumens and make sure I downshift when I pass.

No one knows the reliability of the new motor since its not out yet. Who knows, it could be great. Lets try and stay a little optimistic since its the only option at the moment.

From the AUto Show today

Wife is getting an Inferno TRD pro, and while the Raptor is not a trail rig, what impresses me most is how much more refined and developed the new F150 and Raptor are. The Jeep other then some cool off-road gear is way dated, and the Toyota Fourunner and Tacoma feel 10yrs behind the Ford. I cant wait until next summer!

I spoke to a rep from Ford who indicated they will be using the 3.5 Eco Beast for the Raptor with close to a 600HP figure Take it for what you will, he seemed knowledgeable......But if thats the case I would be happy to race the old V8 guys for pinks
