(I drove an eco '15 F150 last week, it sounded just like an F150.)
So, you drove an F150 AND, it sounded like an F150, ...shut the front door. What has the world come to? In another fascinating news update, today I saw a 2015 Mustang, and get this, it LOOKED like a 2015 Mustang.

I really wish you people would drive an Ecoboost F150...

11.9 mpg is what my EB f150 read today when I checked, it hasn't been reset for about a year. We're on super steep windy roads and all over the place though..

Ever since Ford introduced the new Raptor with the ecoboost V6, I have heard mostly bitching and complaining about this all new motor. It's like you're all 75 year old man that say "back in the good ole days I had a V8 in my truck..blah blah blah."

I emplore you......go test drive an F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. You will be amazed with the acceleration and the torque. Truth be told, I own both (a '14 Raptor and a '14 ecoboost F150) I honestly wish my Raptor had the ecoboost motor. The torque on this thing puts you back in your seat. It's quite impressive really. If technology trickles down (or up in this case) Ford will have V8 sounds pumped into the cab and it will sound just like a V8. (I drove an eco '15 F150 last week, it sounded just like an F150.) keep in mind, this new 3.5 should have more horsepower than the raptor now! I can't wait to see what this feels like!

and by the way.....you guys that say "I won't buy a Raptor with a V6!" Plllleeeeeaaaaasssseee!!!! Your ass hurts!! If you're a true Raptor enthusiast, you won't let a motor get in your way.

Disagree.

2010 Raptor SuperCab 6.2-Sold
2012 FX4 SuperCrew Ecoboost-Sold
2014 Raptor SuperCrew 6.2-Current vehicle

My buds that own Ecoboost F-150s also disagree-I have asked them.

I would be absolutely excited for this truck if it had a V8 option. The V6 EcoBoost just kills me. I have the same EB in my wife's '13 Explorer Sport, its just not an engine I would want in a full size truck.

Please, Ford, please.

Yes.

Ford brought the Jaguar name down as far as possible then sold it if I recall. Ford doesn't learn.....

Ford saved Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin. They brought the brands up as far as they could for a huge company with a few mistakes along the way. But Those brands wouldn't exist today without Ford. They were sold off when the economy began it's down turn in 2008 and Ford itself was bleeding red ink. They were losing too much money, and it didn't make economic sense for Ford to keep them. Ford sells millions of cars and their profit is derived through volume. They poured billions of dollars into these small niche companys that only sold a few thousand cars a year. Ford modernized their factories and methods of production. Ford still owns 8% of Aston Martin and owns the engine factory in Germany that builds their engines to this day. The Eco boost engines available from Jaguar and Land Rover today are all Ford designs.

The best thing that Ford did was to sell Jaguar/Land Rover to Tata. They have invested billions more into the brand, it's the fastest growing luxury brand today. I've read they still have a long road ahead and need to sell more units to survive, and I hope they do. They owe a lot to Ford.

The ecoboost is the new Raptor motor doubt they will offer a V8. I am thankful I bought a 14 with the 6.2 liter motor. I am glad they put a V6 in the 17 just makes mine more desirable.

Ford....let's settle this V6 vs. V8 once and for all....just friggen offer both, dammit already.

When we got our Raptor, we drove an EB F150, very impressive but it wasn't a RAPTOR. If the V8 only gets w/in a couple of mpg of the V6, I'm goin for the V8, even if I have to pay a couple of grand more.
