Also, as someone else stated--the truck was designed with the smaller motor in mind. It is set back from the front bumper for weight distribution. You start putting in a heavier and physically bigger V8 and it becomes a different truck.
Face it, Ford is going with this engine and no other. They're doing it for emission and CAFE standards.

Lol totally unfounded. Two things, the eb with all its extras doesn't actually weigh a whole lot less than the 6.2, if at all. And with all the shit that a lot of us hang off of these trucks, the difference doesn't really matter much. The will only tell about the v8, there is a lot of demand and ford knows it.
