I chose to listen to the guy with tens of thousands of off road miles under his belt. And after the recent run to Death Valley, I'm glad I didn't pull it. The truck leans enough on the twisty roads at speed.
There are lots of opinions here born from 10s of thousands of off road miles. No disrespect to Blue, but his voice is by no means the only educated one in the group.

Did you take a sec and pull the link and try it both ways for yourself? Takes all of 2 minutes to do.

Depends on the driver and driving style as well. One shoe won't fit everyone.

Some people like this, some people like that. Only way to see what works for you is to try both.

No disrespect to Blue... yet I have to reply and tell you to reconsider still.

Best of both worlds would to be install a quick disconnect.

Doing high speed stuff? Connect it.

Doing slow technical stuff? Disconnect it! I'll be doing one on my truck in the future. I love having it off when in the bush cutting trees an collecting logs. It's fantastic and so much smoother going over stumps and downed trees with it disconnected. But I could never get used to having it off on the highway and what not. Just way to much body roll.

Yep. Because taking the opinion of one guy as gospel is doing yourself a disservice, especially when, as in this case, it's such a seat of your own pants thing.

Surely you're not claiming you're "right" about this and others are "wrong", yes? ;)

I'm saying (like I said before) for those people that don't need every inch of available "independent travel" like you would use rock climbing, that it's better to leave it on.

This is NOT a "seat of the pants" preference. It affects the trucks stability at high speeds, and that is not something you want to sacrifice to make it "a little less bouncy on uneven terrain at low speeds".

I'm well aware of the pros and cons... and for people that do high speed drifting on trails and dirt roads, like the Raptor is truly designed for, this is NOT a mod I would recommend, as it will hinder your ability to perform those driving techniques safely and effectively.

And I'm not even going to begin with why this is a bad idea on the public streets and highway...

Your ego is truly impressive.

I my self have driven with out my bar hooked up..
If you take one link off the lower control arm and use a bungy cord to keep it out of the way it takes 2 min.
I personally did not like the body roll the truck exhibited during high speed cornering both on road and off.. In an emergence situation this could be very dangerous. The truck is very susceptible to violent center of gravity movements that could cause a roll over.. Lets say the truck is sliding around a corner. You suddenly hit a rut with the back of the truck.. The C.G. will transfer up and out very fast this could put the truck up on 2 wheels before you have time to react... The same goes if you are heading down the free way and have to make an emergence move to avoid hitting something or someone.
As I'v stated before I always look to what the pro's do..

If the Geiser Bros put one on there $$$$$$$ Trophy Truck I think there is a good reason.
The very slight gain you might have when rock crawling is not worth the risk.. In my opinion..
As a matter of fact we will be putting a new rear bar on our race truck and a stiffer one up front.
