Not sure we are on the same page here. I removed the bar that connects to the LCA, then disconnected the top connection of the same bar to the sway bar. The ********* sway bar that connects the right and left sides is still in place. That thing is firmly in place and isn't going anywhere. I want to know if its ok to leave the black bar in place.

Why would you? If you aren't using it take it off. It's firm right now, but if its not connected, over time it will get loose in its bushings an flop around. It's just added weight. Not using it, ditch it.

Just my views on it.

Unless you're a rock crawler (which most Raptor owners AREN'T) my personal opinion is to leave the front swaybar on. Safer on the road, more stable in high speed turns, and you're NOT losing much individual wheel travel except in the odd circumstance where you have one wheel dropping into a much deeper hole before the other (like when rock crawling).

Everybody has their own preference, this is just mine!

So a sway bar off is like a TCS off in a corvette ZR1, if you turn it off is gonna be fun, until you wreck your car.

Not quite. You get more body roll in turns but not a ton. Nothing that is going to make the truck handle worse or get you in a bad situation.

I couldn't imagine driving like I was this past weekend, WITHOUT the swaybars installed. Those of you that do high speed turns, and high speed drifting, you WILL NOT want to remove the sway bars.

This is not a mod for everybody... have to choose what's best for you based on you driving habits and terrain.

I do high speed turns and drifting all the time. Most of them are flat or cambered. Thought of off camper turns makes me poop myself.

Yes, I mean the ford raptor in order to pass al those regulation to be street legal it has to use a sway bar, but trophy trucks are 90% off road than onroad at baja 1000, so do they still use sway bar to be allow to be on the road on a baja 1000?

So I was wondering if they still use sway bar on the front

Thats because Ford thinks most people use them on the street mostly, and they are right unfortunately.

If you are in the dirt and not doing high speed pavement drifting or hauling big loads all the time, consider taking it off. Truck definitely handles differently so get use to it before you see what it can do. Body roll can = upside down raptor

With the icons there's very little body roll unless you REALLY yank the wheel. I like the more independent feel of the suspension. I was drifting around corners today in the rain and didn't feel uncomfortable at all. No significant body roll. I like it so far......,,

I chose to listen to the guy with tens of thousands of off road miles under his belt. And after the recent run to Death Valley, I'm glad I didn't pull it. The truck leans enough on the twisty roads at speed.
