Thanks for that! I guess sleepy typing is almost as bad as drunk typing! So on with the subject, I saw the kit referenced for quick removal and love it. I am more interested to find out the good and bad of doing this mod?

Nope you're screwed now! Lol.

FWIW I am pulling mine off again this week. It comes off when I am home and goes on when I leave since the wife hates driving with it off.

My wife hates driving without the sway bar too. But she will once in awhile.

But I removed mine a couple months ago and drive mainly on-road, but I love the "rock the boat" feel the truck has now. And I cannot report of any extra wear and tear, but I know the off-road handling is great, the steering wheel doesn't fight you and the ride is smoother.

Because this "mod" is SUPER easy, you really could just take it off for a day or two and see how you like the feel of the truck without it. If you decide you don't like it, it just takes 10 minutes to install it. Two nuts on the passenger frame rail and three nuts on the driver frame rail and then just undo the bolt on each lower control arm. Tip on removing the nut/bolts on the LCR, they are safety nuts (That's what she said), so they will just spin, you need to put a wrench to the nut and bolt to remove the connecting rods.

Sway Bar

What are the pros and cons of disconnecting the sway bar?
I don't see high speed since I'm in Georgia so I see more trails with mud and rocks

The front suspension operates more independently (better off-road) with the swaybar removed. You will feel a bit more body roll on the street, but it is well worth it if you're an off-roader

How about perch settings? I'm greeting a stealth fighter put on tomorrow and need to decide top or middle

There's not a lot of cons really other than a bit more body roll like Bo mentioned.

Off-road there's a huge difference with it disconnected. It makes the truck a lot more stable through the choppy stuff and lets your wheels work independently of each other.

On the perch I went with mid and I like it a lot, I've been mulling over top though. Mid feels like the setting the truck should have come stock with.

I really think that the bumper could help pull the front end down a bit so I want to go top but from what I've seen on here, middle Is perfect.

The problem is that the SCrews look somewhat unproportional and the middle doesn't look like a big difference

The bumper will pull the front end down a bit, My mid isn't as high with my ADD bumper as others with the stock bumper. The stock bumper is pretty flimsy though.

That's exactly why I'd been considering top.
