I used to get that with my motorcycle. The moment ends when I take off my helmet and they look at my bald head and grey beard instead of the bike. Happens every time.

So far most comments go like this:

Them: Is that a Raptor?
Me: Yep
Them: Cool, do you ever take it off road?
Me: Look at the skid plate (it's got some scars)
Them: Oh.. Is it fast?
Me: Wanna try to follow me?
Them: Mumbling.....

You have to admit that the most common comment/gesture ya get is a thumbs up or compliment, but my favorite reply to the haters is simply to hold the key out & ask them if they would like to take it for a test drive. When they say "yes" (& they will) I just put the key back in my pocket & say " I thought so".
I'm a **** like that.....

For the most part in Vegas, its all positive. I get the usual thumbs up,your truck is cool, im thinking of buying one and the how'd you like it questions. Last week someone asked me the typical "how many mpg do I get". I responded, I didn't buy it to save gas. I have a friend who owns a lifted tundra but with a 2wd,typical street queen. As soon as he found out I bought one, He says, Duudde why don't you put a lift kit on it? Then after I let him test drive mine, he says straight up...man your truck is ****** awesome.. i just said **** yea.

Also, I was at the oversize parking area in one of the casinos here last friday to see my client. The CES show was wrapping up and I have my workers tearing it down and putting up ShotShow. As I was chatting with someone and was about 30ft away from my truck. There were loads of asian people taking pictures of it as they walked out!!
