Oh yeah, I forgot about the seats... The seats in the Raptor are hands down MUCH softer and more comfortable than the Platinum! My dad was jealous!

My Raptor should be ready for pick up this weekend. I am trading a 2010 Platinum and would agree with the above post 100%. I am not really looking for a cushy ride in a truck, I have other vehicles for that I guess. I am 39 years old and I don't think much about the age appropriateness of the Raptor. By this way of thinking (too old for a Raptor) anyone over the age of 30 shouldn't have any kind of a sports car?

I had a 2010 platinum before my raptor.
There is a HUGE interior difference,
1- leather is way softer and more comfortable
2- the dash is aluminum trimmed, not plastic
3- dash is trimmed in nice leather like material
4- way more sound deadening material in doors and cab, windshield is even thicker to make the wind noise less and road noise less.
I miss my comfort and class of the platinum but love the way my truck looks and handles.
I would love a platinum raptor!

I meant I agree with the items outlined in this post!

You mentioned a big city, im sure theirs some boonies that you can take the Raptor and really put it to the test of how much better it is against the Plat.

Idk what u guys are talking about. With the exception of the SVT logos, steering wheel, aux switches, and the cloth inserts on the seats my 2011 Raptor is exactly like my 2012 FX4. The seats are the same, they aren't any more/less comfortable, no leather from veal fed ****** cows, etc.

The new F150 platinums aren't any different. They have a diff steering wheel, a darker trim color, and "platinum" logo sets and leather door pads and center console. The Platinum is more plush than the Raptor. No doubt.

You will love the Raptor. There is no comparison to the feel of the Raptor vs Platinum F-150. Don't worry about what others say, enjoy your new ride. I had a Race Red crew cab here and it looks good.

When you first bought your Raptor, were you disappointed with the interior since you had a better one with your previous Platinum?
I would love a Platinum Raptor version too. Anyway, thanks for the input!

To answer,
Yes I was and still am not happy with the interior quality compared with my Platinum.
It's just cheap compared to the platinum.

Thanks for your honest answer.

I am 47 and I look back at my raptor each time I walk away from it... Need I say more. Ok on more thing my big bad dog looks even tougher sitting in the bed standing guard until I return.

I am sure that your dog looks tougher in the Raptor. Thanks for the input!

I am from Saudi Arabia. Although I live in a big city, it is difficult to find F-150 Platinum. Ford dealership in Saudi Arabia imports only few Raptors (5 trucks) and few Platinums (5 trucks). Most people here do not like trucks. They like SUV, sport cars and luxury cars more. For me, I LOVE trucks. Thanks!

You'll definitely love the Raptor. It's great in the city and it's a complete monster off road. Kind of like dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Good luck on receiving it and have fun taking it out for some fun.

I can think of a lot of reasons why a 20 year old can afford a truck like this - including good job, nice parents and of course the thousands of banks out there that want to lend money to anyone.
