The raptor doesn't care about the age of its driver haha I bought mine when I was 23 how many 23 tear olds can honestly say THEY (not there daddy) paid for ther raptor?!? And don't look back you're gonna love the raptor before you even get in it and drive it! The color is personal preference it's what you like not what everyone else likes!

I had a 2010 platinum before my raptor.
There is a HUGE interior difference,
1- leather is way softer and more comfortable
2- the dash is aluminum trimmed, not plastic
3- dash is trimmed in nice leather like material
4- way more sound deadening material in doors and cab, windshield is even thicker to make the wind noise less and road noise less.
I miss my comfort and class of the platinum but love the way my truck looks and handles.
I would love a platinum raptor!

Oh yeah, I forgot about the seats... The seats in the Raptor are hands down MUCH softer and more comfortable than the Platinum! My dad was jealous!

Welcome! You are making the right decision. You will know it when you first lay eyes on it, get behind the wheel, drive it, and every time thereafter.

As for the naysayers, why is it any of their business? Those saying you're too old for a Raptor wouldn't know a good time if it bit them square on the ass. That's ok. We understand. Keep us updated, and Good luck!

Ditto the above. If you are into trucks, you will LOVE your Raptor. As for what other people think...pffffft....I pull up next to Prius' all the time and get "the look," not to mention the occasional "how much gas does that thing burn?" question and just reply...."I dunno, when it gets under 1/2 a tank, I just fill it up"... (I got this reply from this board)...love it. Also, I am in my 50's an I drive what I want to drive, if someone thinks I'm too old, that is THEIR problem, not mine. This truck does everything I want it to do, on road or off, and all while looking bada$$ while doing it. It is truly an exceptional vehicle.

Toooo Old Hua? I am a 60 year old man and my friends and Family thanks I look right in a Raptor. I have a friend that has a F150 Plat. and it does not eat pot holes for lunch like my raptor does!!!!

I am sure that you look AWESOME in your Raptor. Thanks!

:welcome: to the forum! You are going to love the Raptor. The interior is leather, just not the super soft leather that they put in the King Ranches and stuff. But seriously, if you end up displeased (which I don't think you will) you could always have an upholstery shop re-do it for you. Congrats on the truck!

Before buying my previous F-150 Platinum when I was looking around for a truck, I checked the Raptor interior. As I can remember, its interior, including the leather seats, was decent. But I forgot now how it looks/feels. The dealership in my country has sold all the Raptors; therefore, I cannot see how the interior looks/feels now. For this reason, I am worried about the quality compared to the Platinum, especially that I sold my Platinum for a Raptor. I hope the difference between the two interiors (Platinum vs. Raptor) is negligible. From the answers, I think there is no much difference. Thanks for the input.

You must live in a country with kids that have a lot of money! Not many guys younger than you can afford a Raptor here in the US.

You will not be disappointed!!

There are a lot of spoiled kids here in my country. LOL. People here do not appreciate the beauty of trucks. They usually link any truck to a company/business vehicle, what a shame. They are into buying Mercedes, BMW and Lexus. But I really like trucks. Thanks!

Stop worrying about what others think. This is your life. Buy a raptor if you want one and enjoy it. We only live once. Good luck!!

Agree with you. Thanks!

These are very specific differences.
When you first bought your Raptor, were you disappointed with the interior since you had a better one with your previous Platinum?
I would love a Platinum Raptor version too. Anyway, thanks for the input!

I really love the Raptor. I cannot wait to get mine shipped. And as you said, the color is a personal preference. I like race red, and I will stick with it. Thanks for the feedback!

I hate it so much when people criticize. In a matter of facts, now many friends are trying to change my decision about buying the Raptor. For instance, I have been told that the Raptor tires are so expensive, and how would you replace them every year? How would you handle the traffics? How would you find a parking space? And other questions. My answers, I do not know, and I will deal with it when it comes up. LOL. Anyway, thanks for the input!

Get what you want, screw what other people think. You only had your Platinum for 2 weeks, once you get your Raptor, if you feel you made a mistake, you should have no trouble selling it and moving on. If l lived my life concerned about what friends and family thought I would be miserable....

To answer,
Yes I was and still am not happy with the interior quality compared with my Platinum.
It's just cheap compared to the platinum.
