You may of come to the wrong place for an opinion on this....

You should definitely get a Raptor. Been looking for a truck for a couple of weeks now and I was originally just thinking of getting a base f-150, after test driving one I really liked it but then I looked at one side by side with a Raptor and said "WTF am I even thinking." I love off-roading and nothing even compares to what the Raptor offers in every aspect.

Dont have a Raptor yet but I will in the coming weeks and I know i'll be extremely happy compared to if i would of ended up in an F-150 FX4 or limited.

Also I would try and work your warranty details out with your dealer. Every case is different. Goodluck.

As for comparison with my commute to work I got 17.2 mpg's with an ecoboost and I get right around 13 mpg's with the raptor.

I'm hitting 17.2 mpg with my beast! Way better than my old 5.4. L Triton

3600 mile vacation running the hills of eastern PA and averaged 15.4 for the complete 3600 miles.

You don't "consider" buying a Raptor; you only consider which dealer and which color!

The Raptor is a special truck and nothing else exists in this special realm. I never wish I had "that" truck, or "that" car anymore. It's really awesome off road, but the best part it's just as nice on the highway. I think that's hard to find.

It is pricey and it will probably cost you more money over time with mods. The gas mileage sucks! People will touch your truck while gathering around it in a parking lot. They'll honk at you, pull next to you just to give a thumbs up, there will be many questions to answer, and valets will fight to park your truck. Can you handle the attention?

My Ford warranty is transferable to the next owner, but I don't know what happens when you do a trade-in.

So what color are you buying? Have you decided on Scab or Screw? :driver:
