So... What do you think about the new Raptor?

I just don't know. After a couple weekends of pre-running and then hosting a small Raptor run, the special sound of Raptors thundering through the desert at high speeds is hard to beat. Not sure it would be the same with a bunch of whiny, sounding ttv6's. For some, it's not a big deal but just trying to picture the lack of that beautiful sound of an after market exhaust Raptor thundering across the desert. I think I'd have to go for the quietest possible exhaust then. Listen to the rocks and debris go by but not the ttv6 sound.

Maybe the new Raptor will be ahead of the old Raptors in the future to come. And will fly higher and farther. :ROFLJest:

^^^^^The new Raptor will be superior in every way.

I'm sure when you get your new raptor that an experienced 1st gen owner will run circles around you in "real" world off-road scenarios. I'll agree with you that it might be a more superior vehicle, but the driver has a lot to do with it too guy [emoji16]

You're probably right....:mwah1:

But I'm really starting to believe the new engine will rock. Ford will not put in a crappy power plant.

Let them make it sound like the new GT from that video of them loading it into the trailer. A girl can dream right?

Solo downpipe and solo exhaust.

This setup on the f150 Eco somewhat sounds like the GT. I think a super deep exhaust note like the Gen 1 is going to be hard on the Gen 2 just because the turbos and the nature of how the exhaust exits the motor. Definitely going to get a more raspy exhaust I think no matter what on the Gen 2.

As a break from all of the engine discussion, one thing I don't like is the dual exhaust tips exiting under the rear bumper. Drag the bumper once and you are going to smash them flat.

I'm sure when Ford comes out with its GEN 3 in 2020, it will be taken care of, since it will probably be a 2.3 220volt electric motor with 500 lbs of batteries........... errr! (ever wonder how rumors get started...)
