I hope Ford is listening and makes the new Raptor sound more like the new Ford GT...that wouldn't be so bad.

They'll definitely have a team working on the sound. Most manufacturers tune their exhausts, modify timing, etc. for sound these days. If it sounds good and makes lots of power, it'll sell, despite being down two cylinders.

This has been the most positive and comforting thing I've read on these forums on the new 2017 Raptor.

God bless you....:favorites13::favorites13:

what they need is a team working on putting a proper powerplant in it...screw this fake sound shit.

Do you guys think the front shocks of the 2017's will be compatible with our current generation trucks?

strange question ... but the answer would mostly likely be NO. The 2017 shocks will be tune for a truck that will be 500 pounds lighter than the current truck.

LOL....it's cool. Believe me...I wasn't happy with the V6 eco also. I'm trying mentally...I'm trying reeeeeal hard to like the V6 TT. I'm hoping it turns out to be a good power plant.

Raptors are amazing vehicles.

lol the truth comes out... I guess even the guy that says I should "get over" the v6 secretly is disappointed...

since FOREVER v8= american muscle and v6=wussy:baby:... its just sad that such a massive muscular truck will have v6... I get that ford puts these in SOME f-150s whose owners just want a economical truck.. but these are the baddest trucks in todays market! Who cares if a 5.0 V8 TT would get a mile or two less gas mileage! It'd sound like a beast like raptors should!

I don't care if the new v6 TT makes 600 hp and torque... doesn't mean its beastly and cool... There are guys with mitsubishi eclipses that pump out that type of power out of their lawn mower engines... doesn't mean its B.A. lol.

Lol like someone else said... I'll finally give up and "get over it" when gt500s, hellcat challengers, corvettes, etc all have v6 engines... that will never sound like a big bad v8 (at least to this point I've never heard a muscular sounding v6... I guess i could be proven wrong)

Until then... I'll probably keep driving raptors, but I'll always be embarrassed to have a weeny v6... Ford, please be listening lol

LOL....you're correct to a certain degree. I'll always choose a V8 over any V6TT. But what am I gonna do if Ford doesn't plan to put in a v8? Not buy the truck? I don't have a Raptor like you. I will still buy this truck if it puts out power and does what its intended function is meant to do.

I come from a long line of previous owned HiPo Mustangs. I love V8s. But this truck will not be my only vehicle. I will use it as my main vehicle. I have other vehicles that I can get my V8 fix from. I'm old now at a ripe age of 48. I don't need my truck to wake up the neighborhood and scare little kids on the street. It's not me anymore.

I'll do just fine with the new Raptor. And if by a miracle a V8 option is offered...I will go for that.

Peace...:mwah1:

I just don't know. After a couple weekends of pre-running and then hosting a small Raptor run, the special sound of Raptors thundering through the desert at high speeds is hard to beat. Not sure it would be the same with a bunch of whiny, sounding ttv6's. For some, it's not a big deal but just trying to picture the lack of that beautiful sound of an after market exhaust Raptor thundering across the desert. I think I'd have to go for the quietest possible exhaust then. Listen to the rocks and debris go by but not the ttv6 sound.

You can rest assured that the previous Raptor had a team of sound engineers and a tuned exhaust. It's not a new thing.
