I love our SCREW, plenty of room in the back seat for the dog, luggage, people, or whatever:love62:... I think it looks mean and awesome, and like my 012Blue mentioned, the SCREW doesn't stop us from airing her out.

I would just caution having people in the back seat when jumping :whymewhyme:

RaptorWifey--- is this a hobby for you as well? Be great if 01Blue could get you started with a DIY and submit it on the $150 AMSOIL giveaway! Great possibility a lady could get my vote.... Out of ALL the forums I been on, NEVER once I seen a lady benefit us forum junkies. Two chances you guys could walk away with a nice prize too and what a perfect time to capitalize. (don't want to derail, just thought I would pass the thought while I noticed your post in here.)

Thanks SwampKing, I love our truck, it makes me smile every time I see it. The Little Sahara run was my first and I loved it. I don't drive the truck much and the only project I did to it was pin-striping the grill.

I do help with his projects, but its his baby. He keeps telling me to enter the ROTM but I refuse because I feel like its cheating... The giveaway is another beast though, I'm in for that any day of the week. :laughing1:

I try to add to the forum where I can, but I'm no engineer and no expert on trucks. I came to here in April for ideas for his birthday, loved it and stayed. I do plan on putting up a Christmas post that might be helpful :secret:

Not cheating. Ur a member just like everyone else and thats the purpose is to get others like yourself more intuitive on the sites. That it can be anyone and just bc u share a truck with your hubby ON HERE doesn't make it unfair in my opinion. Each member should have opportunity just as much. Think of it as ur Facebook and dedication. I can understand about Christmas. Everyone can always help ya with that on here, Haha! I think you should post that up. The thread would help with newbies that don't know how to use the search button too. Can't hurt, there's many others with posts worthless in that thread. Lol

Thanks for ur comments in regards to my beast, wouldn't have done it without the sites help. Ongoing mod process. It was hard enough spending money on my other hobbies yesterday rather than ordering upgrades. Lol

I still think you should try asking for the SCAB for your next vehicle. ;) That way u and the hubby could swap out and get a totally different feel for your rides with all smiles. Haha

Hahahaaa, his and hers raptors...
I think of the 13's had the molten orange option, then I might have been in trouble trying to wrap her Christmas gift! :D

I am running into this same dilemma and after weeks of searching, reading other people's opinions and changing my mind I figured I'd ask here.

Looking at buying a 2013 SCAB within the next week, but wondering whether I am making the right choice. I am also looking at buying an SUV instead, 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged with a certified pre-owned warranty.

I have an 8-week-old daughter and two 25lb dogs. The Raptor will be my daily driver, though I usually only drive 8-9k miles total every year. I have never owned a truck before, my highest capacity vehicle previously was an older Jeep Grand Cherokee and I am concerned about the length because I do have to park in the airport garage almost weekly (height checks out fine). The Raptor is quite a bit slower than the Range Rover, especially up here in CO which is a downer, but I think it will cost me quite a bit less overall with there being considerably less depreciation with the Raptor.

I am really drawn to the SCAB. It looks better, is shorter and has enough room to get by while my daughter is young. I will probably only keep it for 2-3 years before finding something new. Most of the time it will just be me, the gf and my daughter in the car. Occasionally the dogs will join us as well. I will need to tow my GT-R to a few events next year, with the total weight being at or just under the limit.

While the room in the SCREW is tempting, I don't care for the overall length at all as the SCAB is already pushing it for me. Having four normal doors is nice though as they will be easier to manage in tight spaces.

Thoughts? Think I will be able to get by ok with the SCAB for the next few years?

The raptor will probably do better in CO due to the altitude (boosted motors arent going to have as high of a VE as a naturally aspirated).

Also if you are going to be packing kids/people into the truck more then ever so often get the SCREW. It just makes life easier, you get used to the parking if you are a wuss you can just back in (get the rear view camera) to spots.

I have a screw and i LOVE it, its nice when hauling people around to not have to do the whole suicide door dance ********. Plus when you have a truck fully of hot chicks you can help each one of them up the steps into the truck. (thank you hot wife for having hot friends)
