My wife actually gave me the okay to buy chase lights. She also realized the importance of them. Yeah, no one calling out hazards. Previous run, lead truck did. For us this improved after the lunch break. San Diego_Raptor did a good job of doing so. I also thought that a numbering system would be nice. Only my second run so I can the difference between this one and the previous.

It was a little rough around the edges, but a lot of fun and I think the turnout was far larger than they anticipated. I think they were expecting 30-40 cars and ended up having 80-100. Lights/communication are definitely two areas that need improvement as well as being able to identify who the leaders are. I thought this would be communicated at the meetup spot, but it really wasn't. We were there, and next thing I knew we were rolling out to the first spot where we aired down. Splitting up into groups based on level of experience is also a good idea. While I've been off-road plenty, this was my first time doing anything at speed in my Raptor in soft sand. I'd likely opt to join the novice group the first couple runs. I'd rather get slowed down by a truck in front of me than be a road block to folks behind me or go faster than I'm comfortable with to not hold anyone up.

I wanted to get some drone footage but it was way too windy most of the time. The few times it was calm enough to fly, we ended up rolling out as soon I was ready to fly.

Oh, and I'm very grateful for having PPF on my truck! The wind alone was enough for a sandblasting effect much less while you're moving!

I didn't get a of pics but here are a few. Run mud flaps for this and they worked. What worked even better was "Track Tape", wow best $25 ever. Saved my paint from rock chips.
