Remote Start for MY10 - Easy to connect?

get a viper remote start. i think they are alot better. i have one in my 10 scab and it works up to 3000 feet away. plus it tells you on your remote if the vehicle actually started and if the doors are locked or not, plus it will tell you what temp it is inside the cab. great product.(i am not afiliated with this product at all and am not trying to sell them on here)

Im kinda thinkin about a viper alarm/remote start for the raptor. There is a 2 way one where u can add on a module to start ur truck from anywhere on your smartphone with feedback.

what type of remote start are you looking at having installed. Ford remote starts don't use a 3rd key they use pats by-pass module that stores a key code and will only initiate when the remote start asks. Some after market have a casing where 3rd key is programmed then stuck in steering column. Ford remote start are plug and play into ignition switch then about 5 wires that get connected not that difficult. I can install Ford remote start in f-150 in just over hour but I won't touch aftermarket alarm remote starts if I'm working because there is no money to be made. Last python i installed I think took me between 6 and 8 hours

I am looking for the original kit ofcourse, dont really trust anything aftermarket yet. So would it be straight forward if i order it? Does my truck already has the provision to install the same?

They are pretty straight forward when you order the kit ask if they will print you off the directions for install the wiring will actually go through step by step on where wires are located if your looking for power and ground they are pretty simple. they even include directions on the programming. When you order the kit if your dealer won't print off install directions let me know I'll see if I can't get them to send to you

Here is a place you can find part not sure if you can order but you will need the remote start and pats interface kit. You will also need 2 programmed keys to program the interface kit.

Two programmed keys? I do have both the keys and both remotes which came with the truck, is that what i need? or new keys?

You just need your two keys that came with the truck, as long as you have those and they work your fine.
