yup glad everybody is ok... just depends if u know ur insurance rep good. if u do he can total it for u :mwah1:

i know u had kid in car so safety is first... but if some ****** does that they gonna end up in the ditch, tree or cut out of their little box after i run it over.
We 6000lbs wide, power, and a lot of steel on front and rear.
their shit is gonna get plowed over or off roaded before i do any avoidance. just saying.

Driving down the highway in Richmond, VA. Went to pass a vehicle in the right lane and the ******* swerves into the right lane and applies his brake. I swerve to the right and into the ditch at 80+mph. Truck is toast but my six year old daughter was okay. She was wondering why we were going Off-Roading on the highway. Her only injury was a cut on her neck from the seat belt. I escaped with some bruises and soreness. All the seat belt airbags and side airbags blew. Truck didn't flip. Right Rear axle is broken. Right Front is torn up. We were able to walk away. She did well to protect us. Adjuster will be by on Wednesday. I hope she is totaled. I priced out the parts I knew that were bad from the dealer and I was only at $14000. With an equal amount of paint and labor it still would be enough to total it. Based on Virginia's Total Loss Guide there needs to be $50000 worth of damage. Anybody have advice on this. Thanks in advance.

Great to hear that your daughter and you are safe!
I saw your truck on the flatbed Saturday evening around 7:30pm heading north on 288.
I am expecting delivery of my truck this week. This is why I believe in driving a truck, safety!

Glad you and your daughter are OK.
But seriously patience on the road is a must. You really have to kind of predict what people do while driving, keep a safe distance and slow down. As far as the truck, goes it looks very fixable. Get aftermarket stuff if you can out of insurance company while you are at it, like others suggested.

That sucks man. It's no write off but it'll be fixed like new I'm sure.

Maybe a good time to consider some control arm upgrades or something. I'd almost get the factory ones powdercoated.

I read for your state this is how they determine it.

"Cost of Repair + Salvage Value > Actual Cash Value. If the sum of the first two quantities is greater than the ACV, the car can be declared a total loss".

Or they go off 75% of value damaged.

You may be right....The last guy that did this told me I was a terrorist and go back to my Country. Which is Wisconsin.

LOL...please fax me some cheese curds! I had a lunatic pull a knife on I-77 and waive it around once because I deigned to right-lane pass his left-lane loafing arse. I was like, what are you going to do? Stab my car? I agree in general with getting away from ********* on the highway, but you always have to expect them to do the dumbest thing possible. As George Carlin once said, think of how dumb the average American is, and half the people are dumber than that.

Hang in there man... It's a frustrating process and can definitely add a lot of un-needed stress in your lives. The thing to remember is that while we love these machines it's just a truck at the end of the day... Everyone is ok and that's truly matters.

Maybe you can get a 2018... rumor online forums is it's getting a V8 (JOKING!)
